शुचिना मृदुना कॢप्तः पद्मरागमणित्विषा
Made pure and soft, with the radiance of padmarāga gems.
शृङ्गारवेषरुचिरस्सदा षोडशवार्षिकः
Ever charming in the attire of love, eternally sixteen years of age.
हारकेयूरमुकुटकटकाद्यैरलङ्कृतः
Adorned with necklaces, armlets, crowns, bangles, and other ornaments.
जागर्ति भगवानादिदेवः कामेश्वरः शिवः
The Blessed Lord, the Primeval God, Kāmeśvara Śiva, remains ever awake.
सदा षोडशवर्षा च नवयौवनदर्पिता
She is always sixteen years old, filled with the pride of fresh youth.
यावकश्रीर्निर्व्यपेक्षा पादलौहित्यवाहिनी
Her beauty is like red lac, independent, with redness flowing to her feet.
अनङ्गवरतूणीरदर्पोन्मथनजङ्घिका
Her thighs, proud as the quivers of Love, are graceful and shapely.
अलङ्कृतनितंबाढ्या जघनाभोगभासुरा
Her hips are adorned and splendid, radiant with the fullness of her loins.
नतनाभिमहावर्तत्रि वल्यूर्मिप्रभासरित्
Her deep navel forms a great whirlpool, with three shining folds flowing like waves.
अतिपीवरवक्षोजभारभङ्गुरमध्यभूः
Her waist is delicate, bending under the weight of her ample, full breasts.
शिरीषदाममृदुलच्छदाभांश्चतुरो भुजान्
She bears four arms, soft and lustrous as the tender garlands of silk-tree blossoms.
वहन्ती पतिसंसृष्टशङ्खसुन्दरकन्धरा
Her neck is beautiful as a conch, embraced by her lord.
कुन्दकुड्मललक्ष्मीकैर्दन्तैर्दर्शितचन्द्रिका
Her teeth, radiant as clusters of jasmine buds, reveal a moonlike glow.
केतकान्तर्दलश्रोणी दीर्घदीर्घविलोचना
Her hips are like the inner petals of the ketaka flower, and her eyes are long and wide.
पालीवतं समाणिक्यकुण्डलामण्डितश्रुतिः
Her ears are adorned with earrings of ruby and sapphire, shining like the crest of a peacock.
शरच्चञ्चन्निशानाथमण्डलीमधुरानना
Her face is sweet as the full moon in autumn, surpassing even the moon's orb at night.
स्फुरत्तिलकरत्नाभभालनेत्रविराजिता
Her forehead and eyes are radiant, adorned with a sparkling tilaka gem.
सीमन्तरेशाविन्यस्तकिन्दूरश्रेणिभासुरा
In the parting of her hair, a row of vermilion shines like a line of rubies.
सर्वशृङ्गारवेषाढ्या सर्वाभरणभूषिता
She is adorned with all the ornaments of love and decorated with every kind of jewel.
ब्रह्मविष्णुगिरीशेशसदाशिवनिदानभूः
She is the source of Brahma, Vishnu, Giriśa, and Sadāśiva.
भासते सा भगवती पापघ्नी ललितांबिका
That goddess, Lalitāmbikā, destroyer of sin, shines resplendent.
यस्याः पूजाफलं प्राहुयस्या एव हि पूजनम्
The fruit of worship is said to be hers alone, for only her worship is supreme.
वर्षकोटिसहस्रेणाप्येकांशो वर्ण्यते न हि
Even in a thousand million years, her full glory cannot be described, not even in part.
यतो वाचो निवर्तन्ते अप्राप्य मनसा सह
For words, along with the mind, turn back from her, unable to reach.
न पक्षपातान्न स्नेहान्न मोहाद्वा मयोच्यते
Neither by partiality, nor by affection, nor by delusion have I spoken.
मषीपात्राणि सर्वे ऽपि सप्त संतु महार्णवाः
Let all the ink vessels be seven great oceans.
तस्य लेखनकालो ऽस्तु परार्ध्याधिकवत्सरैः
Let the time for writing be measured in years exceeding a parārdha.
सर्वे बृहस्पतिसमा वक्तारो यदि कुंभज
Let all the speakers be equal to Bṛhaspati, O son of the pot.
अथ वा वृत्तिरखिला निष्फला तद्गुणस्तुतौ
Even then, all effort is fruitless in praising those qualities.
महामायाजवनिका लंबते मेचकप्रभा
The veil of great illusion hangs, shining with a dazzling radiance.
