चवर्गजुष्टा वागीशी मोदिनी स्यात्तृतीयका
The third, Modinī, mistress of speech, is endowed with the group of 'ca' letters.
तवर्गेण तथोपेता पञ्चमी वाक्प्रधारणा
Similarly, the fifth, Vākpradhāraṇā, is joined with the group of 'ṭa' letters.
यादिवर्णचतुष्कोणे सर्वैश्वर्यादिवाङ्मयी
In the quadrangle of the 'ya' group, she is the embodiment of all sovereignty and speech.
एता देव्यो जपरता मुक्ताभरणमण्डिताः
These goddesses, devoted to recitation, are adorned with garlands of pearls.
विनोदयन्त्यः श्रीदेवीं वर्तन्ते कुम्भसम्भवः
They delight the glorious goddess and remain, O son of Kumbha.
नायिका स्वस्य चक्रस्य सिद्धानाम्ना प्रकीर्तिता
The leader of her own wheel is proclaimed by the name of Siddha.
वशिन्याद्यन्तरालस्योपरिष्टाद्विन्ध्यमर्दन
Above the inner space of Vaśinī and the others is Vindhyamardana.
अस्त्रं चक्रमितिज्ञेयं तत्र बाणादिदेवताः
The weapon there is known as the wheel; in it are the deities beginning with Bāṇa.
अङ्कुशद्वितयं दीप्तमादिस्त्रीपुंसयोर्द्वयोः
There are two blazing goads, one each for male and female.
पाशद्वयं च दीप्ताभं चत्वार्यस्त्राणि कुम्भज
There are also two radiant nooses; O son of Kumbha, these are four weapons.
आहत्याष्टायुधानीति प्रज्वलन्ति विभान्ति च
Altogether, these eight weapons blaze and shine forth.
पीतैरतीव तृप्तानिदिव्यास्त्राण्यति जाग्रति
The divine weapons, golden and exceedingly satisfying, remain ever vigilant.
वर्तन्ते ऽस्त्रान्तरे तत्र तेषां संख्या तु कोटिशः
There, within the inner circle of weapons, their numbers are in the tens of millions.
कृपाणः पट्टिशं चैव मुद्गरं भिन्दिपालकम्
There are swords, spears, maces, and slings.
अष्टायुधमहाशक्तीः सेवन्ते मदविह्वलाः
Intoxicated with passion, they serve with eight kinds of weapons and great powers.
धिष्ण्यं तु समयेशीनां स्थानं च तिसृणां मतम्
The seat of the Samayeshis is considered to be the place of the three.
सैव निःशेषविश्वानां सवित्री ललितेश्वरी
She herself is Savitri, Laliteshvari, the sovereign of all the worlds without exception.
वज्रेशी भगमाला च ताः सेवन्ते सहस्रशः
Vajreshi and Bhagamala—these are served by thousands.
ताः सर्वास्तत्र सेवन्ते कामेशादिमहोदयाः
All of them are served there by the great ones beginning with Kamesha.
चक्रिणीनां योगिनीनां श्रीदेवी पूरणात्मिका
Among the Yoginis with wheels, Shri Devi is the one who fulfills all.
कामेश्यादिचतुर्थी सा नित्यानां षोडशी मता
She is considered the fourth after Kameshi and the others, and among the Nityas, she is called Shodashi.
समयेश्यन्तरालस्योपरिष्टादिल्वलान्तक
Above the interval of the Samayeshis is Ilvalantaka.
चतुर्नल्वप्रविस्तारं प्राग्वत्सोपानमण्डितम्
It extends four alvas across, adorned with steps as before.
सर्वेषां मन्त्रगुरवः सर्वविद्यामहार्णवाः
All are teachers of mantras, great oceans of all knowledge.
सृष्टाः कामंशदेवेन तेषां नामानि मे शृणु
Created by Kamamsha Deva, listen to their names from me.
तैः सृष्टा बहवो लोकारक्षार्थं पादुकात्मकाः
Many were created by them, in the form of sandals, for the protection of the worlds.
प्राप्तसालोक्यसारूप्यसायुज्यादिकसिद्धयः
They have attained the perfections of residing in the same world, having the same form, union, and so on.
अथ नाथान्तरालस्योपरिष्टाद्धिष्ण्यमुत्तमम्
Now, above the interval of the Lords, is the supreme seat.
नित्यान्तरमिति प्रोक्तं नित्याः पञ्चदशात्र वै
This is called the inner circle of the Nityas; here, there are indeed fifteen Nityas.
नित्यक्लिन्ना अपि तथा भेरुण्डा वह्निवासिनी
Nityaklinna, as well as Bherunda and Vahnivasini, are also there.
