मुद्रान्तरमिति त्रैधं तत्र मुद्राः कृतालयाः
There, the mudrās are arranged in three divisions, each with its own temple.
खेचरी बीजयोन्याख्या त्रिखण्डा दशमी पुनः
Khecarī, known as bīja and yoni, is threefold; again, the tenth division.
अत्यन्तसुन्दराकारा नवयौवनविह्वलाः
They possess exceedingly beautiful forms and are overwhelmed by the vigor of youth.
सेवन्ते मुनिशार्दूल ललितापरमेश्वरीम्
O best of sages, they serve Lalitā Parameśvarī.
एतस्मिञ्छक्तयो यासु ता उक्ताः प्रकटाभिधाः
In these, the powers which are called 'manifest' have been described.
तच्चक्रपालनकरी मुद्रासंक्षोभणात्मिका
That which protects the wheel is the mudrā whose nature is to stir and agitate.
पर्वतश्चैव सोपानमुत्तरोत्तरमिष्यते
A mountain with steps is considered to rise higher and higher.
परितः कृतसंस्थानाः षोडशेन्दुकलात्मिकाः
All around, the arrangements are made of sixteen lunar digits.
तासां नामानि मत्तस्त्वमवधारय कुम्भज
From me, you should learn the names of these, O son of the pot.
रसाकर्षणिका नित्या गन्धाकर्षणिका कला
Rasākarṣaṇikā is eternal, Gandhākarṣaṇikā is a digit.
स्मृत्याकर्षणिका नित्या नामाकर्षणिका कला
Smṛtyākarṣaṇikā is eternal, Nāmākarṣaṇikā is a digit.
अमृताकर्षणी चान्या शरीराकर्षणी कला
Amṛtākarṣaṇī is another, Śarīrākarṣaṇī is a digit.
सर्वाशापूरिकाभिख्या चक्राधिष्ठानदेवता
Known as Sarvāśāpūrikā, she is the presiding deity of the wheel.
नित्या कलान्तरादूर्ध्वं धिष्ण्य मत्यन्तसुन्दरम्
Above the other eternal digits, the seat is exceedingly beautiful.
प्राग्वत्सोपानसंयुक्तं सर्वसंक्षोभणाभिधम्
As before, it is furnished with steps and is called Sarvasaṃkṣobhaṇā.
नवतारुण्यमच्चाश्च सेवन्ते परमेश्वरीम्
Those who possess the freshness of youth serve the Supreme Goddess.
रेखा वेगिन्यङ्कुशा च मालिन्यष्टौ च शक्तयः
The lines, the swift ones, the goads, the garlanded ones, and the eight powers.
सर्वसंक्षोभमिदं चक्रं तदधिदेवता
This is the wheel of all agitation, with its presiding deities.
तच्चक्रपालनकरी मुद्राकर्षणिका स्मृता
The gesture that protects this wheel is known as the Mudrakarshanika.
संक्षोभिण्याद्यन्तरं स्यात्सर्वसौभाग्यदायकम्
The inner part, beginning with the Samkshobhini, bestows all good fortune.
चतुर्दश वसंत्येव तासां नामानि मच्छृणु
There dwell fourteen; listen to their names from me.
सर्वाकर्षणिका शाक्तिः सर्वाह्लादनिका तथा
The power of universal attraction, and likewise the power of universal delight.
सर्वजृंभिणिका शक्तिस्तथा सर्ववशङ्करी
The power of universal expansion, and also the power that brings all under control.
सर्वार्थसाधिका शक्तिः सर्वसंपत्तिपूरिणी
The power that accomplishes all aims, and the fulfiller of all prosperity.
एताश्च संप्रदायाख्याश्चक्रिणीपुरवासिनीः
These are called the tradition-bearers, the residents of the city of the wheel.
कोटिशः शक्तयस्तत्र तासां किङ्कर्य्य उद्धृताः
There, powers exist by the millions, and their attendants are described.
सर्वसिद्धादिकानां तु मन्दिरं विष्ट्यमुच्यते
The abode of all Siddhas and others is said to be established there.
सर्वप्रियङ्करी देवी सर्वमङ्गलकारिणी
The goddess who bestows all affection, the doer of all auspiciousness.
सर्वमृत्युप्रशमिनी सर्वविघ्ननिवारिणी
The dispeller of all death, the remover of all obstacles.
एता देव्यः कलोत्कीर्णा योगिन्यो नामतः स्मृताः
These goddesses, inscribed by time, are known as Yoginis by name.
