सदा श्रीललितादेव्याः सेवनार्थमतन्द्रितः
He is always untiring in serving the goddess Śrī Lalitā.
चतुर्दशापि विद्यास्ता उपविद्याः सहस्रशः
All fourteen sciences and thousands of subsidiary sciences
वर्तन्ते जगतामृद्ध्यै ललिता देवताज्ञया
exist there, by the command of goddess Lalitā, for the prosperity of the worlds.
वर्तते विष्णुलोकस्तु ललितासेवनोत्सुकः
The world of Viṣṇu is present, eager to serve Lalitā.
विभिन्नमूर्तिः सततं वर्तते माधवः सदा
Mādhava, with ever-diverse forms, is always present there.
दशावतारदेवास्तु ते ऽपि माणिक्यमण्डपे
Even the gods of the ten incarnations are in the jeweled pavilion.
उपर्याच्छादनामात्रं माणिक्यदृषदां गणैः
Above is only a covering, made by groups of ruby stones.
भिन्नो द्वादशमूर्त्या च पूर्वाद्याशासुरक्षति
He, manifest in twelve forms, protects the eastern and other directions.
पश्चान्नारायणः शङ्खी नीलजीमूतसंनिभः
Behind stands Nārāyaṇa, bearing a conch, resembling a dark raincloud.
गोविन्दो दक्षिणे पार्श्वे धन्वी चन्द्रप्रभो महान्
On the southern side is Govinda, holding a bow, great and radiant as the moon.
आग्नेय्यामरविन्दाभो मुसली मधुसूदनः
In the southeast, Madhusūdana, mace in hand, shines with the hue of a lotus.
वायव्यां वामनो वज्री तरुणादित्य दीप्तिमान्
In the northwest stands Vāmana, wielding a thunderbolt, brilliant as the rising sun.
विद्युत्प्रभो हृषीकेशो ह्यवाच्यां दिशि मुद्गरी
In the forbidden direction, Hṛṣīkeśa, radiant as lightning, stands with a club.
माणिक्यमण्डपस्थानमनुलोम्येन वेष्टते
He encircles the jewelled pavilion in a clockwise direction.
इन्द्रगोपकसंकाशः पाशहस्तो ऽपराजितः
Unconquered, resembling the indragopa insect, he holds a noose in his hand.
माणिक्यमण्डपस्थानं विलोमेन विवेष्टते
He encircles the jewelled pavilion in a counterclockwise direction.
माणिक्यमण्डपगतो विष्णुलोके विराजते
Dwelling in the jewelled pavilion, he shines in the world of Viṣṇu.
सहस्रस्तम्भकं नाम मण्डपं सुमनोहरम्
There stands the pavilion named Sahasrastambhaka, exceedingly beautiful.
नानारत्नकृतश्शालस्तुङ्गस्तत्राभिवर्तते
There rises a lofty hall made of various precious gems.
तादृशाः पङ्क्तयो बह्व्यः स्तम्भानां तु चतुर्दिशम्
Such rows of pillars, numerous, extend in all four directions.
शिवलोकस्तत्र महाञ्जागर्ति स्फुरितद्युतिः
There, the great realm of Śiva shines, radiant with flashing brilliance.
नन्दिभृङ्गिमहाकालप्रमुखास्तत्र चोत्तमाः
There, the foremost ones—Nandi, Bhrṅgi, and Mahākāla—are present.
शिवलोकोत्तमे तस्मिन्सहस्रस्तम्भमण्डपे
In that supreme world of Śiva, within the thousand-pillared pavilion,
ललिताज्ञापालकश्च ललिताज्ञाप्रवर्तकः
Are the guardian of Lalitā's command and the executor of Lalitā's command.
शैव्या दृष्ट्या स्वभक्तानां ललितामन्त्रसिद्धये
With Śiva's vision, for the accomplishment of their devotees' Lalitā mantra,
महाप्रकाशरूपां तां मेधाशक्ति प्रकाशयन्
He reveals that great, radiant form of Medhāśakti.
तत्तच्छालान्समाश्रित्य वर्तते कुम्भसंभवः
Relying on those very halls, the one born from the pot abides.
एषां श्रवणमात्रेण जायते श्रीमहोदयः
By merely hearing of these, the great rise of prosperity is born.
मनो नाम महाशालः सर्वरत्नविचित्रितः
There is a great hall named 'Mind', adorned with all kinds of jewels.
तन्मध्यकक्ष्याभागस्तु सर्वाप्यमृतवापिका
And in the central chamber of that, there is entirely a pool of nectar.
