चतुरस्रस्ताम्रशालः सिंधुयोजनमुन्नतः
A four-sided copper hall rises, measuring a yojana in height.
कर्पूरगन्धिभिश्चारुरत्नबीजसमन्वितैः
It is adorned with the fragrance of camphor and beautiful seeds like gems.
पीतांबराणि दिव्यानि प्रवालान्येव शाखिषु
Divine yellow garments and tender shoots are seen on the branches.
ईदृशा वहवस्तत्र कल्पवृक्षाः प्रकीर्तिताः
Many such wish-fulfilling trees are described there.
ताम्रशालस्यान्तराले नागशालः प्रकीर्तिताः
Within the copper hall, the nāga hall is mentioned.
तत्र संतानवाटी स्यान्कल्पवापीसमाकृतिः
There is a grove for offspring, shaped like a wish-fulfilling pond.
कल्पवाटीसमाकारा फलपुष्पसमाकुला
A grove resembling a wish-fulfilling enclosure, filled with fruits and flowers.
पूर्ववद्गोपुराणां च मुकुटानां च कल्पनम्
As before, the arrangement of gateways and crowns is described.
आरकूटस्यान्तराले सप्तयोजनदूरतः
Between Ārakūṭa and the next, at a distance of seven yojanas,
तयोर्मध्ये मही प्रोक्ता मन्दारद्रुमवाटिका
In the midst of these two is said to be the land called the Mandāra tree grove.
रौप्यशालस्तु संप्रोक्तः पूर्वोक्तैर्लक्षणैर्युतः
There stands the silver hall, described as endowed with the characteristics mentioned before.
दिव्यामोदसुसंपूर्णा फलपुष्पभरोज्ज्वला
It is filled with a divine fragrance and shines with the weight of fruits and blossoms.
हेमशालः प्रकथितः पूर्ववद्द्वारशोभितः
The golden hall is proclaimed, adorned with gateways as previously described.
तत्र दिव्या नीपवृक्षा योजनद्वयमुन्नताः
There, divine nīpa trees rise to a height of two yojanas.
येभ्यः कादंबरी नाम योगिनी भोगदायिनी
From these, the beverage called Kādaṃbarī, bestower of enjoyment to yoginīs, is obtained.
आमोदलोलभृङ्गालीझङ्कारैः पूरितोदराः
Their interiors are filled with the humming of bees intoxicated by fragrance.
कदंबवनवाट्यास्तु विदिक्षुज्वलनादितः
In the groves of kadamba trees, in all directions, there is a blazing radiance.
एकैकस्य तु गे७स्य विस्तारः पञ्चयोजनः
Each house there has a breadth of five yojanas.
निवासनगरी सेयं श्यामायाः परिकीर्तिता
This is the city of residence known as Śyāmā’s.
यदत्रैव गृह तस्या बहुयोजनदूरतः
And there, at a great distance of many yojanas, is her house.
तस्याः श्रीमन्त्रनाथायाः सुरत्वष्ट्रा मयेन च
It belongs to the illustrious Lady of Mantrinīs, fashioned by Maya, the divine architect.
वर्णयिष्यति को नाम यो द्विजिह्वासहस्रवान्
Who indeed could describe it, even if they possessed a thousand forked tongues?
गायन्त्यस्तत्र खेलन्ति मान्यमातङ्गकन्यकाः
There, the noble daughters of elephants sing and play.
सेवन्ते मन्त्रिणीनाथां सदा मधुमदालसाः
Ever intoxicated with honey, they serve the Lady of the Mantrinīs.
महाप्रभावसंपन्नो जगत्सर्जनलंपटः
He is endowed with great power and delights in the creation of the worlds.
मतङ्गमुनिपुत्रेण सुचिरं समुपासिता
He was long worshipped by Mataṅga Muni’s son.
उवाच तां पुरो दत्तसान्निध्यां श्यामलांबिकाम्
He spoke to Śyāmalāmbikā, who was present before him.
जाता एवाणिमाद्यास्ताः सर्वाश्चान्या विभूतयः
As soon as she was born, all the powers beginning with Aṇimā, and all other manifestations, arose.
सर्वतः प्राप्तकालस्य भवत्याश्चरितस्मृतेः
Whenever the time is ripe, the memory of the deeds of Bhavatī arises everywhere.
एवं परं प्रार्थये ऽहं तं वरं पूरयांबिके
Thus, O Pūrayāmbikā, I earnestly request that supreme boon.
