सर्वाधिके सर्वगते समस्तसिद्धिप्रदे श्रीललिते नमस्ते
O Shri Lalita, supreme over all, pervading all, bestower of all accomplishments, I bow to you.
सर्वामराकाङ्क्षितपूरयित्रि सर्वस्य लोकस्य सवित्रि पाहि
O Savitri, fulfiller of the desires of all the immortals, protector of all the worlds, protect us.
बलाहकश्यामकचे वचो ऽब्धे वरप्रदे सुंदरि पाहि विश्वम्
O beautiful one, with hair dark as rain clouds, whose words are deep as the ocean, bestower of boons, protect the universe.
अत्युग्रतेजोज्ज्वलितांबुराशे प्रसेव्यमाने परितो नमस्ते
I bow to you, whose radiance blazes with supreme power, whose ocean of light is worshipped on all sides.
कथाविशेषीकृतदैत्यसैन्ये कामेशयान्ते कमले नमस्ते
O Kamala, at whose end Kama rules, whose special stories recount the destruction of demon armies, I bow to you.
बृहत्कुचंभोजविलोलहारे बृहत्प्रभावे ललिते नमस्ते
O Lalita, of great splendor, whose necklace sways upon your ample lotus-like breasts, I bow to you.
कल्पावसानोत्थित कालिरूपे कामप्रदे कल्पलते नमस्ते
O wish-fulfilling creeper, who assumes the form of Kali at the end of the eon, bestower of desires, I bow to you.
सारस्य सारस्य सदैकभूमे समस्तविद्येश्वरि संनतिस्ते
O sovereign of all knowledge, ever established in the essence of essence, my reverence is to you.
भण्डासुराद्याः समरे प्रचण्डा हता जगत्कण्टकतां प्रयाताः
Bhandasura and others, fierce in battle, were slain by you and thus the world was freed from torment.
त्वया समस्तं भुवनं सहर्षं सुजीवितं सुंदरि सभ्यलभ्ये
O beautiful one, O rarest to the noble, by you the whole world lives joyfully and well.
स्थाण्वाश्रमे कॢप्ततया विरक्तः सतीवियोगेन विरस्तभोगः
Dwelling in the hermitage of Sthanu, detached by the loss of his beloved, he renounced all pleasures.
एवं स्मरं प्रेरितवन्त एव तस्यान्तिकं घोर तपःस्थितस्य
Thus, remembering, the god of love was sent to him, who was engaged in fierce austerity.
भस्मावशेषो मदनस्ततो ऽभूत्ततो हि भण्डासुर एष जातः
Then Madana was reduced to ashes; from him, this Bhandasura was born.
अथास्मदर्थे त्वतनुस्सजातस्त्वं कामसंजीवनमाशुकुर्याः
Therefore, for our sake, you should manifest yourself and quickly restore Kama to life.
पुनस्त्वदुत्पादितकामसंगाद्भविष्यति श्रीललिते सनाथा
Again, through the desire and attachment you have produced, O Śrī Lalitā, she will have a protector.
चिरं कृतात्यन्तमहासपर्या तां पार्वतीं द्राक्परिणेष्यतीशः
After long and utmost worship, the Lord will soon marry that Pārvatī.
तेनैव वीरेण रणे निरस्य स तारको नाम सुरारिराजः
With that very hero in battle, the king of the enemies of the gods named Tāraka will be destroyed.
श्रीकण्ठपुत्रैण रणे हतश्चेत्प्राणप्रतिष्ठैव तदा भवेन्नः
If he is slain in battle by the son of Śrīkaṇṭha, then our very life-force will be restored.
उत्पाद्यरत्या विधवात्वदुःखमपाकुरु व्याकुलकुन्तलायाः
By generating Rati, remove the sorrow of widowhood from her, whose hair is disheveled in distress.
नमस्करोति त्रिपुराभिधाने तदत्र कारुण्यकलां विधेहि
She, called Tripurā, offers obeisance—therefore, bestow your aspect of compassion here.
तां रतिं दर्शयमासुर्मलिनां शोककर्शितम्
They showed Rati, who was pale and worn by grief.
ननाम जगदंबां वै वैधव्यत्यक्तभूषणा
She, having abandoned her ornaments of widowhood, bowed to the Mother of the Universe.
ततः कटाक्षादुत्पन्नः स्मयमानसुखांबुजः
Then, from her sidelong glance, arose one whose smile was like a lotus of delight.
द्विभुजः सर्वभूषाढ्यः पुष्पेषुः पुष्पकार्मुकः
He was two-armed, adorned with every ornament, Puṣpeṣu, bearing a floral bow.
मज्जन्ती निजभर्तारमवरोक्य मुदं गता
Seeing her own husband, she, who was sinking, attained joy.

By the Brahmarṣis, beginning with Vasiṣṭha, let the marriage be performed according to the prescribed rite.
अप्सरोभिश्च सर्वाभिर्नृत्यगीतादिसंयुतम्
With all the Apsarases, accompanied by dance, song, and the like.
साधुसाध्विति शंसंतस्तुष्टुवुर्ललितांबिकाम्
As they proclaimed, 'Well done, well done!' they praised Lalitāmbikā.
