क्रोधेन प्रज्वलन्तं च जगद्विप्लवकारिणम्
Burning with anger, he caused upheaval in the world.
गतासुमकरोन्माता ललिता परमेश्वरी
Lalitā, the supreme goddess, made him lifeless and insane.
सस्त्रीकं च सबालं च सगोष्ठं धनधान्यकम्
With his wives, children, herds, wealth, and grain.
भण्डस्य संक्षयेणासीत्त्रैलोक्यं हर्षनर्तितम्
With the destruction of Bhaṇḍa, the three worlds danced with joy.
कामेश्वरी त्रिजगतां जननी बभासे विद्योतमानविभवा विज्यश्रियाढ्या
Kāmeśvarī, mother of the three worlds, shone forth, radiant with victorious glory and abundant wealth.
अस्तं गते सवितरि प्रथितप्रभावा श्रीदेवता शिबिरमात्मन आनिनाय
When the sun had set, the illustrious goddess led her retinue to the camp.
नाशं प्रयान्ति कदनानि दृताष्टसिद्धेर्भुक्तिश्च मुक्तिरपि वर्तत एव हस्ते
Battles cease; for one who has attained the eight powers, enjoyment and liberation are both present in hand.
पठन्ति पुण्येषु दिनेषु ये नरा भजन्ति ते भाग्यसमृद्धिमुत्तमाम्
Those men who recite on auspicious days and worship attain supreme prosperity and fortune.
विक्रमो ललितादेव्या विशिष्टो वर्णितस्त्वया
O Lalita, your valor has been described by you as exceptional.
श्रुता सा महतीशक्तिर्मन्त्रिणीदण्डनाथयोः
That great power of hers, belonging to the minister and the commander, has been heard.
चतुर्थदिनशर्वर्यां विभातायां हयानन
On the fourth night, at dawn, O Hayānana,
पश्चादाचरितं कर्म निहते भण्डदानवे
Afterward, the deed was performed when Bhaṇḍa the demon was slain.
मुहुराह्लादयामास लोचनैरमृताप्लुतैः
Again and again she delighted them with her eyes overflowing with nectar.
जहुर्युद्धपरिश्रान्तिं शक्तयः प्रीतिमानसाः
The powers, their minds filled with joy, cast off the fatigue of battle.
सर्वे ऽपि सेवितुं प्राप्ता ब्रह्मविष्णुपुरोगमाः
All, led by Brahmā and Viṣṇu, arrived to serve her.
आदित्या वसवो रुद्रा मरुतः साध्यदेवताः
The Ādityas, Vasus, Rudras, Maruts, and Sādhyas, the divine beings,
प्रह्लादाद्या महादैत्याः सर्वे ऽप्यण्डनिवासिनः
Prahlāda and other great demons, and all the inhabitants of the cosmic egg,
आगत्य तुष्टुवुः प्रीत्या सिंहासनमहेश्वरीम्
Having come, they praised with affection the great goddess seated on the lion throne.
नमोनमो भण्डमहासुरघ्ने नमो ऽस्तु कामेश्वरि वामकेशि
Salutations, salutations to you, destroyer of the great demon Bhaṇḍa; salutations to you, O Kāmeśvarī, O Vāmakeśī.
चित्राम्बरे चित्रजगत्प्रसूते चित्राख्यनित्ये सुखदे नमस्ते
O you who wear wondrous garments, mother of the wondrous universe, called by wondrous names, bestower of happiness, salutations to you.
मुद्रेश्वरीचर्चितराजतन्त्रे मुद्राप्रिये देवि नमोनमस्ते
O goddess, revered in the royal tantra by the lords of mudrā, lover of mudrās, salutations to you.
क्रोडानने पालितसैन्यचक्रे क्रोडीकृताशेषभये नमस्ते
O one with a boar's face, protector of the army's circle, who has gathered all fears within, salutations to you.
षट्चक्रसंस्थे च षडूर्मियुक्ते षड्भावरूपे ललिते नमस्ते
O Lalitā, abiding in the six wheels, endowed with the six waves, embodiment of sixfold nature, salutations to you.
कामप्रदे कामिनि कामशंभोः काम्ये कलानामधिपे नमस्ते
Giver of desire, beloved, desired by Kāma and Śaṃbhu, mistress of the arts, salutations to you.
देदीप्यमाने दयया सनाथे देवाधिदेवप्रमदे नमस्ते
Radiant, compassionate, with a noble lord, supreme among gods and goddesses, salutations to you.
सभ्ये सदेकाल यपादपूज्ये सवित्रि लोकस्य नमोनमस्ते
Worthy of worship at all times by the noble, O Savitrī of the world, salutations, salutations to you.
ब्रह्मामृतस्रोतसि राजहंसिब्रह्मेश्वरि श्रीललिते नमस्ते
O Brahmeshvari, O Shri Lalita, I bow to you, who are the royal swan in the stream of the nectar of Brahman.
नित्ये कलाषोडशकेन नामाकर्षिण्यधीशि प्रमथेन सेव्ये
O Eternal One, worshipped by Pramatha, ruler of the intellect, who draws forth the sixteen kalas—
अभव्यहन्त्र्यक्षरराशिरूपे हतारिवर्गे ललिते नमस्ते
O Lalita, destroyer of the unworthy, embodiment of the multitude of imperishable letters, vanquisher of hostile hosts, I bow to you.
आत्मानमाबिभ्रति विभ्रमाढ्ये शुभ्राश्रये शुभ्रपदे नमस्ते
I bow to you, who assume manifold forms, who dwell in pure abodes, whose steps are auspicious.
