अन्योन्यदण्डहननैर्मोहयन्तौ मुहुर्मुहुः
Again and again, they bewildered each other by striking with their staffs.
अयुध्येतां दुराधर्षौं दण्डिनीदैत्यशेखरौ
Those two, the formidable Daṇḍinī and the chief of the demons, fought, difficult to overcome.
संक्रुद्धा हन्तुमारेभे विषङ्गं दण्डनायिका
