वाचामगोचरमगोचरमेव बुद्धेरीदृक्तया न कलनीयमनन्यतुल्यम्
Such as this, beyond the reach of speech and even mind, incomparable and not to be conceived by intellect.
आबद्धभक्तिविपुलाञ्जलिशेखराणामारादहंप्रथमिका कृतसेवनानाम्
She is the foremost to be worshipped by those whose hands are joined in abundant, devoted reverence.
उद्दीप्तपुष्पशरपञ्चकतः समुत्थैज्योतिर्मयं त्रिभुवनं सहसा दधाना
Raising the universe of three worlds in a sudden blaze, with her quiver of five flaming flower-arrows.
कामेश्वरीप्रभृतिभिः कमनीयभाभिः संग्रामवेषरचनासुमनोहराभिः
With Kāmeśvarī and others, possessing enchanting forms, adorned in wondrous attire for battle.
श्रीचक्रनामतिलकं दशयोजनातितुङ्गध्वजोल्लिखितमेघकदंबमुच्चैः
The crest-jewel of the Śrīcakra, with a banner towering ten yojanas high, brushing against clusters of clouds.
प्रोद्यत्पिशङ्गरुचिभागमलांशुकेन वीतामनोहररुचिस्समरे व्यभासीत्
She shone in battle, wrapped in a beautiful garment of rising tawny radiance, captivating in splendor.
संस्तूयमाना ललिता मरुद्भिः संग्राममुद्दिश्य समुच्चचाल
Lalitā, praised by the winds, set forth towards the battle.
ललितापरमेशान्या देहि कर्णरसायनम्
O Supreme Lady Lalitā, grant the nectar of your words to my ears.
चापिनी त्रिपुरा चैव महात्रिपुरसुन्दरी
She is the wielder of the bow, Tripurā, and indeed Mahātripurasundarī.
चक्रेश्वरी महादेवी कामेशी परमेश्वरी
She is the Lady of the Wheel, the Great Goddess, Kāmeśī, the Supreme Sovereign.
महाविद्या शिवानङ्गवल्लभा सर्वपाटला
She is the Great Knowledge, beloved of Śiva and Ananga, and the all-beautiful one.
शृङ्गारनायिका चेति पञ्चविंशतिनामभिः
She is the mistress of love, and thus by these twenty-five names.
ते प्राप्नुवन्ति सौभाग्यमष्टौ सिद्धीर्महद्यशः
They attain good fortune, the eight perfections, and great fame.
भण्डासुरं प्रति क्रुद्धा चचाल ललितांबिका
Lalitāmbikā, enraged against Bhaṇḍāsura, trembled.
देवता प्रकटाभिख्यास्तासामाख्यां निवेदय
Tell me the names of those goddesses who are openly known.
आयुधानि च दिव्यानि कथयस्व हयानन
And, O Hayānana, describe their divine weapons.
तश प्रोक्ता सिद्धिदेव्यस्तासां नामानि मच्छृणु
Now, the goddesses who bestow success have been mentioned; listen to their names from me.
ईशिता वशिता चैव प्राप्तिः सिद्धिश्च सप्तमी
Īśitā, Vaśitā, Prāpti, and Siddhi as the seventh—
एतादेव्यश्चतुर्बाह्व्यो जपाकुसुमसंनिभाः
These goddesses have four arms and resemble the hibiscus blossom.
दधाना दयया पूर्णा योगिभिश्च निषेविताः
They are filled with compassion, bear various objects, and are served by yogis.
वाराही चैव मांहेन्द्री चामुण्डा चैव सप्तमी
Vārāhī, Māṃhendrī, and also Cāmuṇḍā are the seventh.
कपालमुत्पलं चैव बिभ्राणा रक्तवाससः
Clad in red garments, they hold a skull and a blue lotus.
ब्रह्मादिसदृशाकारा ब्रह्मादिसदृशायुधाः
Their forms resemble those of Brahmā and the other gods, and their weapons are like those of Brahmā and the others.
तासामूर्ध्वस्थानगतां मुद्रा देव्यो महत्तराः
Above them are the mudrā goddesses, who are greater.
दाडिमीपुष्पसङ्काशाः पीतांबरमनोहराः
They shine like pomegranate flowers and are enchanting, clad in yellow garments.
मदरक्तविलोलाक्ष्यस्तासां नामानि मच्छृणु
Their eyes are restless from intoxication and passion; listen to their names from me.
सर्वाकर्षणकृन्मुद्रा तथा सर्ववशङ्करी
The mudrā named Sarvākarṣaṇakṛt, and likewise Sarvavaśaṅkarī.
सर्वखेचरिका मुद्रा सर्वबीजा तथापरा
The mudrā Sarvakhecarikā, and another called Sarvabījā.
सिद्धिब्राहयादिमुद्रास्ता एताः प्रकटशक्तयः
The mudrās beginning with Siddhibrāhayā—these are the manifest powers.
या गुप्ताख्याः पूर्वमुक्तास्तासां नामानि मच्छृणु
