Departing from all her limbs, fire reduced her to ashes.
The Lord became angry with Dakṣa and the sages.
I shall always uphold him, by the command of the Supreme Lord.
I uphold them here constantly, by his order.
I will not partake with them; therefore, they will give separately.
All the others are praised, together with their own husbands and children.
In the second cycle, beings will arise in my sacrifice who are not born from a womb.
Having spoken thus about all of them, she again cursed Daksha.
Prācīnabarhiṣa's grandson and son were born from those daughters.
When the era of Vaivasvata arrives, you will be born from the daughter of the Śākhin lineage.
When your task is joined with righteousness, in one difficult situation,
Therefore, along with the gods, the twice-born will not worship you in the sacrifice.
You will remain here, thus, abandoning heaven at the end of the age.
Then Daksha was addressed by Rudra, whose energy is boundless.
Having abandoned his Svāyambhuva body, he was born here among humans.
With a complete sacrifice here, he worshipped together with the gods.
The lord of the mountains begot that goddess, Umā, in Menā.
She is always Bhava's wife; Bhava is never separated from her.
Just as Śrī is to Nārāyaṇa, and Śacī is to Maghavan,
These goddesses never abandon their husbands at any time.
Thus, Daksha, son of Prācetasa, was born in the era of Cākṣuṣa.
He was born then by that curse; thus we have heard of the second birth.
In the first Tretā age, before the time of Manu Vaivasvata,
Thus this regret arose, following the change of lineage between the two.
Therefore, resentment should never be harbored against enemies here.
A creature does not relinquish fame; thus, the wise should not act so.
That which you previously inquired about here, concerning Daksha,
I shall now recount the gods in order after the ancestors.
Those who were formerly known as Devayāmā, sons of sacrifice,
These are the sons of Svāyambhuva, called the Śaktas, born of the mind.
