नमो अनन्ताय सूक्ष्माय नमः श्रीवत्सधारिणे त्रिविक्रमाय च नमो दिव्यपीताम्बराय च
Obeisance to the infinite, to the subtle one, obeisance to the bearer of the Śrīvatsa mark, to Trivikrama, and to the one clad in divine yellow garments.
सृष्टिकर्त्रे नमस् तुभ्यं गोप्त्रे धात्रे नमो नमः नमो ऽस्तु गुणभूताय निर्गुणाय नमो नमः
Obeisance to you, the creator of the universe, repeated obeisance to the protector and sustainer; obeisance to the one who is both with qualities and without qualities.
नमो वामनरूपाय नमो वामनकर्मणे नमो वामननेत्राय नमो वामनवाहिने
Obeisance to the one with the form of Vamana, to the deeds of Vamana, to the eyes of Vamana, to the bearer of Vamana.
नमो रम्याय पूज्याय नमो ऽस्त्व् अव्यक्तरूपिणे अप्रतर्क्याय शुद्धाय नमो भयहराय च
Obeisance to the beautiful, the venerable, obeisance to the one of unmanifest form, to the inconceivable, the pure, and to the remover of fear.
संसारार्णवपोताय प्रशान्ताय स्वरूपिणे शिवाय सौम्यरूपाय रुद्रायोत्तारणाय च
To the boat across the ocean of worldly existence, to the tranquil, to the true self, to Shiva, to the gentle form, to Rudra, and to the deliverer—obeisance.
भवभङ्गकृते चैव भवभोगप्रदाय च भवसंघातरूपाय भवसृष्टिकृते नमः
To the destroyer of worldly existence, to the giver of worldly enjoyments, to the form of the multitude of beings, to the creator of existence—obeisance.
ॐ नमो दिव्यरूपाय सोमाग्निश्वसिताय च सोमसूर्यांशुकेशाय गोब्राह्मणहिताय च
Om, obeisance to the one of divine form, whose breath is the moon and fire, whose hair is the rays of the moon and sun, and who is the benefactor of cows and Brahmins.
ॐ नम ऋक्स्वरूपाय पदक्रमस्वरूपिणे ऋक्स्तुताय नमस् तुभ्यं नम ऋक्साधनाय च
Om, obeisance to the embodiment of the Ṛk, to the form of the sequence of words, obeisance to the one praised by the Ṛk, and to the one who is the means of the Ṛk.
ॐ नमो यजुषां धात्रे यजूरूपधराय च यजुर्याज्याय जुष्टाय यजुषां पतये नमः
Om, obeisance to the supporter of the Yajus, to the one who assumes the form of the Yajus, to the one delighted by the Yajus and oblations, obeisance to the lord of the Yajus.
ॐ नमः श्रीपते देव श्रीधराय वराय च श्रियः कान्ताय दान्ताय योगिचिन्त्याय योगिने
Om, obeisance to the lord of Śrī, to the bearer of Śrī, to the boar, to the beloved of Śrī, to the restrained, to the one contemplated by yogis, to the yogin—obeisance.
ॐ नमः सामरूपाय सामध्वनिवराय च ॐ नमः सामसौम्याय सामयोगविदे नमः
Om, obeisance to the one of Sāman form, to the best of Sāman songs; om, obeisance to the gentle Sāman, to the knower of Sāman yoga—obeisance.
साम्ने च सामगीताय ॐ नमः सामधारिणे सामयज्ञविदे चैव नमः सामकराय च
To Sāman and to the song of Sāman, om, obeisance to the bearer of Sāman, and to the knower of Sāman sacrifices, obeisance to the maker of Sāman.
नमस् त्व् अथर्वशिरसे नमो ऽथर्वस्वरूपिणे नमो ऽस्त्व् अथर्वपादाय नमो ऽथर्वकराय च
Obeisance to the Atharvaśiras, obeisance to the embodiment of Atharva, obeisance to the feet of Atharva, and to the hands of Atharva.
ॐ नमो वज्रशीर्षाय मधुकैटभघातिने महोदधिजलस्थाय वेदाहरणकारिणे
Om, obeisance to the one with a diamond-like head, to the slayer of Madhu and Kaitabha, to the one who abides in the great ocean, to the one who recovered the Vedas.
नमो दीप्तस्वरूपाय हृषीकेशाय वै नमः नमो भगवते तुभ्यं वासुदेवाय ते नमः
Salutations to You, whose form is radiant, to Hṛṣīkeśa; salutations to You, O Blessed One, Vāsudeva, I bow to You.
नारायण नमस् तुभ्यं नमो लोकहिताय च ॐ नमो मोहनाशाय भवभङ्गकराय च
O Nārāyaṇa, salutations to You, and to the Benefactor of the worlds; Oṃ, salutations to the Destroyer of delusion and the Remover of worldly bondage.
गतिप्रदाय च नमो नमो बन्धहराय च त्रैलोक्यतेजसां कर्त्रे नमस् तेजःस्वरूपिणे
Salutations to the Giver of liberation, to the Remover of bondage; to the Creator of the brilliance of the three worlds, to the One whose essence is splendor, I bow.
योगीश्वराय शुद्धाय रामायोत्तरणाय च सुखाय सुखनेत्राय नमः सुकृतधारिणे
Salutations to the Lord of yogis, the Pure One, to Rāma the Deliverer, to the Blissful One, the Giver of happiness, and the Upholder of virtue.
वासुदेवाय वन्द्याय वामदेवाय वै नमः देहिनां देहकर्त्रे च भेदभङ्गकराय च
Salutations to Vāsudeva, the Worthy of praise, to Vāmadeva; to the Creator of bodies for embodied beings, and the Destroyer of division.
देवैर् वन्दितदेहाय नमस् ते दिव्यमौलिने नमो वासनिवासाय वासव्यवहराय च
Salutations to You, whose body is worshipped by the gods, to the One with a divine crown; salutations to the Dweller in all abodes, and the Lord of all dwellings.
ॐ नमो वसुकर्त्रे च वसुवासप्रदाय च नमो यज्ञस्वरूपाय यज्ञेशाय च योगिने
Oṃ, salutations to the Creator of wealth, the Giver of the abode of wealth; salutations to the Embodiment of sacrifice, the Lord of sacrifice, and the Yogi.
यतियोगकरेशाय नमो यज्ञाङ्गधारिणे संकर्षणाय च नमः प्रलम्बमथनाय च
Salutations to the Lord who inspires renunciation and yoga, to the Bearer of the limbs of sacrifice; salutations to Saṃkarṣaṇa and to the Slayer of Pralamba.
मेघघोषस्वनोत्तीर्णवेगलाङ्गलधारिणे नमो ऽस्तु ज्ञानिनां ज्ञान नारायणपरायण
To the One who holds the plough whose speed surpasses the sound of thunderclouds, salutations; to the One who is knowledge among the wise, devoted to Nārāyaṇa, I bow.
न मे ऽस्ति त्वाम् ऋते बन्धुर् नरकोत्तारणे प्रभो अतस् त्वां सर्वभावेन प्रणतो नतवत्सल
O Lord, apart from You there is no friend for me to deliver me from hell; therefore, with all my being, I bow to You, the Lover of those who bow.
मलं यत् कायजं वापि मानसं चैव केशव न तस्यान्यो ऽस्ति देवेश क्षालकस् त्वाम् ऋते ऽच्युत
O Keśava, whether impurity arises from the body or the mind, O Lord of gods, there is no other cleanser but You, O Acyuta.
संसर्गाणि समस्तानि विहाय त्वाम् उपस्थितः सङ्गो मे ऽस्तु त्वया सार्धम् आत्मलाभाय केशव
Abandoning all other associations, I have come to You; may my connection be with You alone, O Keśava, for the attainment of the Self.
कष्टम् आपत् सुदुष्पारं संसारं वेद्मि केशव तापत्रयपरिक्लिष्टस् तेन त्वां शरणं गतः
I know, O Keśava, that this terrible, hard-to-cross worldly existence is full of suffering; afflicted by the threefold miseries, I have sought refuge in You.
एषणाभिर् जगत् सर्वं मोहितं मायया तव आकर्षितं च लोभाद्यैर् अतस् त्वाम् अहम् आश्रितः
By desires, the whole world is deluded by Your māyā, drawn by greed and the like; therefore, I have taken shelter in You.
नास्ति किंचित् सुखं विष्णो संसारस्थस्य देहिनः यथा यथा हि यज्ञेश त्वयि चेतः प्रवर्तते
O Viṣṇu, there is no happiness at all for embodied beings who dwell in saṃsāra; but, O Lord of sacrifice, as the mind turns toward You, so does supreme happiness arise.
तथा फलविहीनं तु सुखम् आत्यन्तिकं लभेत् नष्टो विवेकशून्यो ऽस्मि दृश्यते जगद् आतुरम्
Thus, one attains ultimate happiness, devoid of fruit; I am bereft of discernment, and the world appears full of suffering.
