Freed from all sins, he goes to the world of Śiva, and there, having enjoyed excellent pleasures, remains until the cosmic dissolution.
Returning to this world, he becomes a learned brāhmaṇa; attaining the yoga of Śaṃkara, he then achieves liberation.
Then, going to the wish-fulfilling tree, circumambulating it three times, he should worship that banyan tree with supreme devotion using this mantra.
Om, salutations to the manifest form, to the maker of the great dissolution, to the one seated on the great rasa, to the banyan tree—salutations to you.
You are immortal always, O Banyan tree, the abode of Hari. Remove my sin, O wish-fulfilling tree; I bow to you.
A man who, with devotion, circumambulates and bows to the wish-fulfilling banyan is instantly freed from sin, just as a serpent sheds its old skin.
By stepping into the shade of that wish-fulfilling tree, O twice-born, a man is freed from the sin of killing a Brahmin—what need to speak of other sins?
Seeing the supreme form of Vishnu, arising from Krishna's body and radiant with Brahman’s light, in the shape of a banyan tree, and bowing to him, O twice-born—
He attains a reward greater than that of a Rājasūya or Aśvamedha sacrifice, and, uplifting his own lineage, he goes to the world of Vishnu.
By bowing to Garuḍa, who stands before Krishna, one becomes freed from all sins and then proceeds to the city of Vishnu.
Whoever sees the banyan, Garuḍa, the Supreme Person, Saṅkarṣaṇa, and Subhadrā attains the highest state.
Entering the temple of Vishnu, circumambulating it three times, and worshipping Saṅkarṣaṇa with one’s own mantra and devotion, one should propitiate him.
Salutations to you, Rāma who wields the plough; salutations to you, bearer of the pestle; salutations to you, beloved of Revatī; salutations to you, who are affectionate to devotees.
Salutations to you, best among the strong; salutations to you, supporter of the earth; enemy of Pralamba, salutations to you; protect me, elder brother of Krishna.
Thus propitiating Ananta, the unconquerable one worshipped by the gods, whose form is like the peak of Kailāsa, whose face is more radiant than the moon—
The god who wears blue garments, whose head is adorned with great serpent hoods, who is immensely strong, who wields the plough, and is adorned with a single earring—
A man who, with devotion, worships the son of Rohiṇī attains his desired reward and, freed from all sins, goes to the world of Vishnu.
There, enjoying happiness until the end of the cosmic dissolution, when his merit is exhausted, he returns here, born in the foremost family of yogis.
Becoming a foremost Brāhmaṇa, accomplished in all the meanings of the scriptures, he attains knowledge there and reaches the rare liberation.
Thus, having worshipped Halin, then the wise man should worship Krishna with the twelve-syllable mantra, with a concentrated mind.
Those steadfast ones who always worship the Supreme Person with the twelve-letter mantra, with devotion, truly attain liberation.
Not even the gods, nor yogis, nor drinkers of soma, attain that state which, O Brāhmaṇas, is reached by those devoted to the twelve-syllable mantra.
Therefore, with that very mantra, one should worship Krishna, the teacher of the world, with devotion, using sandalwood paste, flowers, and other offerings, bowing down and seeking his favor.
Victory to Krishna, Lord of the universe! Victory to the destroyer of all sins! Victory to the slayer of Chanura and Keshi! Victory to the vanquisher of Kamsa!
Victory to you, lotus-leaf-eyed one! Victory to you, bearer of the discus and mace! Victory to you, dark as a blue cloud! Victory to you, giver of all happiness!
Victory to you, O divine one, worshipped by the world! Victory to you, destroyer of worldly existence! Victory to you, Lord and master of all beings! Victory to you, fulfiller of all desires!
In the dreadful ocean of worldly existence, devoid of essence and foaming with suffering, filled with fierce crocodiles of anger and turbulent with the flood of sense-objects,
In the mire of countless diseases, in the difficult whirlpool of delusion, I am submerged, O best of gods; save me, O Supreme Person!
Thus, having pleased the Lord of gods, the bestower of boons, who cherishes his devotees, the remover of all sins, the god who grants the fruits of all desires,
One beholds Krishna, with strong limbs, two arms, eyes wide as lotus petals, broad chest, mighty arms, yellow garments, and auspicious face.
