There, a triad will be seen, without doubt; for all of us gods dwell within his body.
His elder brother, radiant as a heap of white mountains, will be known as Halī and Bala, and will become the supporter of the earth.
Triśiras, seen as Ananta among the gods, is the mighty one; Suparṇa, powerful son of Kaśyapa, is renowned for his strength.
The end of the supreme soul, the god, cannot be seen; and that Śeṣa moves about, filled with supreme joy.
He who dwells within, embracing the earth with enjoyment—this is Viṣṇu, the endless, the blessed, the bearer of the earth.
He who is Rāma is Hṛṣīkeśa, the infallible, the supporter of all; both are tigers among men, divine and of divine prowess.
They are to be seen and honored, bearers of the discus and plough; this grace has been declared to you by me, O ascetics rich in austerity. Therefore, you should worship the best of the Yadus with devotion.
Ah, the greatness of Kṛṣṇa we have heard is wondrous, removing all sins, auspicious, blessed, and destroying worldly existence.
Having properly worshipped Vāsudeva with devotion, O great sage, what path do those attain who are devoted to the worship of Vāsudeva?
Do they attain liberation, or heaven, O great sage? Or, O best of sages, do they obtain both fruits?
You should resolve the doubt that remains in our hearts, O all-knowing one; there is no other resolver in this world but you, O best of sages.
Excellent, excellent, O best of sages, what you have spoken; listen in order to the happiness-giving results for the followers of Viṣṇu.
By initiation alone into Kṛṣṇa, men indeed attain liberation; what then of those who always worship the infallible one with devotion, O twice-born?
For them, heaven and liberation are not difficult to attain, O best of sages; the followers of Viṣṇu obtain whatever rare desires they wish for.
Just as a man, ascending a mountain of jewels, takes a jewel at will, O tiger among sages, so do devotees take their desired wishes from Kṛṣṇa.
Just as a man, approaching the wish-fulfilling tree, takes fruits at will, O brāhmaṇas, so do devotees take their desired wishes from Kṛṣṇa.
By worshipping Vāsudeva, the teacher of the world, with faith and proper method, men obtain the fruits of righteousness, wealth, pleasure, and liberation.
Having worshipped the Lord of the world with a purified inner self, men obtain desires that are difficult even for the gods to attain.
Those who always worship with devotion the imperishable one called Vāsudeva, for them nothing is difficult to obtain in the three worlds.
Blessed are those men in the world who always worship Hari, the god who removes all sins and grants all desired fruits.
Brāhmaṇas, kṣatriyas, vaiśyas, women, śūdras, and those of lowest birth—having worshipped that best of gods, attain the supreme path.
Therefore, listen, O sages, as you ask me, O sinless ones; I will briefly declare the path of those great souls.
Having abandoned the human body, which is the abode of disease, unstable, joined with old age and death, and resembling a water bubble,
Foul-smelling with flesh and blood, mixed with excrement, urine, and the like, impure, supported by a pillar of bones, and endowed with sinews, skin, and veins,
By a vehicle born of desire, divine like that of Gandharvas and others, youthful as the sun, adorned with a net of tinkling bells,
Sung to by Gandharvas and decorated by Apsaras, they go, each separately, to the abodes of the guardians of the worlds.
Having enjoyed, for the measure of a Manvantara, the pleasures in each of those worlds, adorned with all enjoyments,
Then they go to the region of the atmosphere, which grants all happiness; there, having enjoyed excellent pleasures for ten Manvantaras, O twice-born,
From there, the Vaishnava twice-born indeed go to the Gandharva world; having enjoyed delightful pleasures there for twenty Manvantaras,
They, being highly honored, then go to the world of the sun, having enjoyed divine pleasures there for thirty Manvantaras,
