Among the descendants of Śaśabindu was the king Pṛthuśravā, also called Pṛthuyaśas; the knowers of ancient lore mention Pārthaśravas as an intermediate link.
Of that intermediate one, Suyajña was born, and Suyajña's son was Uṣata; he performed every sacrifice and was devoted to his own duty.

He achieved victory in battle there and obtained a maiden; the lord of men, fearful, addressed his wife, calling her 'daughter-in-law.'
Hearing this, the queen asked, 'O lord, whose daughter-in-law is she?' On hearing this, Jyāmagha, best of kings, replied:
'She is the wife destined for the son who will be born to you.'
