यस्मिन् यज्ञे महादाने दक्षिणां भृगुनन्दनः मारीचाय ददौ प्रीतः कश्यपाय वसुंधराम्

तम् अप्य् आहुर् मनुष्येन्द्रं सर्वभूतहिते रतम् यः समाः सर्वधर्मज्ञश् चतुर्दश वने ऽवसत्
They also call him the king of men, devoted to the welfare of all beings, who, knowing all dharma, dwelt in the forest for fourteen years.
लक्ष्मणानुचरो रामः सर्वभूतहिते रतः चतुर्दश वने तप्त्वा तपो वर्षाणि राघवः

—arrogant from the boon he had received, dreadful to the hosts of gods, he was slain in battle, together with his ministers and army.
महाभ्रगणसंकाशं महाकायं महाबलम् रावणं निजघानाशु रामो भूतपतिः पुरा
Rāma, lord of beings, once swiftly slew Rāvaṇa—whose form was vast as a mass of great clouds, whose body was immense, whose strength was mighty.
सुग्रीवस्य कृते येन वानरेन्द्रो महाबलः वाली विनिहतः संख्ये सुग्रीवश् चाभिषेचितः

No inauspicious words were heard, the wind did not blow harshly, and there was no theft of wealth while Rāma ruled the kingdom.
परिदेवन्ति विधवा नानर्थाश् च कदाचन सर्वम् आसीच् छुभं तत्र रामे राज्यं प्रशासति
Widows did not lament, nor did misfortunes ever arise; all was auspicious there while Rāma ruled the kingdom.
न प्राणिनां भयं चासीज् जलाग्न्यनिलघातजम् न चापि वृद्धा बालानां प्रेतकार्याणि चक्रिरे
No living being suffered fear from water, fire, wind, or lightning; nor did the old or the young have to perform funeral rites.
ब्रह्मचर्यपरं क्षत्रं विशस् तु क्षत्रिये रताः शूद्राश् चैव हि वर्णांस् त्रीञ् शुश्रूषन्त्य् अनहंकृताः
The Kṣatriyas were devoted to celibacy, the Vaiśyas delighted in their own duties, and the Śūdras, humble, served the three higher classes.
