Sometimes, by hurling mountains, he crushed villages; he uprooted rocks and cast them into waters and the ocean.
Again, standing in the midst of the ocean, he agitated the sea; thus, O twice-born, the ocean, greatly disturbed, overflowed.
Flooding villages and cities along the shore with great speed, assuming any form at will, he destroyed many crops.
Rolling, wandering, and crushing, the vanara pulverized; thus, this wicked one disrupted the entire world.
Without recitation or sacrificial utterance, the twice-born were greatly distressed; once, in the Raivata garden, Halayudha drank wine.
Revatī, greatly fortunate, and other noble women as well, sang, surrounded by playful maidens.
The foremost among the Yadus enjoyed himself like Kubera on Mandara; then that vanara approached, seizing the plough of Sīriṇa.
He made a mockery, holding the pestle before him; likewise, the monkey laughed facing those women.
He then struck and threw away the goblets filled with drink, and, his mind overtaken by anger, began to rebuke that force.
Yet, disregarding him, Balo made a clattering sound; then, rising up, he seized the mace in wrath.
That foremost among monkeys took up a massive stone slab and hurled it; but Balo shattered it into a thousand pieces with his mace.
The chief of the Yadavas broke it apart, and it fell to the earth; the monkey, leaping up, avoided the falling mace.
With speed and fury, Balo struck him in the chest; then, with anger, he hit him on the head with his fist.
Dvivida, his life spent, fell, blood pouring from his mouth; as his body struck the ground, the mountain peak was shattered.
The sages, seeing it struck as if by Indra's thunderbolt, praised it; then the gods showered flowers upon Rama.
They approached and praised him, saying: 'Well done, this great deed of yours! By this wicked monkey, ally of the demon faction, the world was afflicted; by fortune, he has met his end.'
Such countless deeds of the wise Baladeva, the serpent and supporter of the earth, are known.
Thus, Krishna, aided by Baladeva, slew the demons and the wicked rulers of the earth for the sake of the world.
The Lord, together with Arjuna, removed the burden of the earth by destroying all the armies.
Having lifted the earth's burden by slaying all the kings, he, under the pretext of a curse by the Brahmins, brought his clan to an end.
Krishna, abandoning Dvaraka and relinquishing his human form, entered again his own abode, the place filled with Vishnu's essence.
By means of the Brahmins' curse, he ended his own clan; and thus Janardana left his human body.
Visvamitra, Kanva, and the great sage Narada were seen by the Yadu princes at the great holy place of Pindaraka.
Then, intoxicated by youth and prompted by destiny, they adorned Samba, son of Jambavati, as a woman, and, approaching the sages with reverence, asked them.
This woman desires a son, O lord; what will she give birth to?
Endowed with divine insight, the sages, deceived by the princes, then pronounced a curse upon them for their destruction, steadfast in their vows.
The sages, angered, declared: A pestle will be born by which the entire clan of the Yadavas will be destroyed.
Thus addressed by them, those youths truthfully reported everything to Ugrasena; a pestle was indeed born from Sāmba’s belly.
Then Ugrasena had the pestle ground into iron powder; that powder was thrown into the great ocean by the guards.
But of that iron pestle, though the Andhakas and the twice-born tried, they could not grind one fragment, which was shaped like a spear.
