Wearing yellow garments, decorated with forest flowers, holding a dense blue creeper in his hand, and adorned with a white lotus.
The twice-born saw Balabhadra, the delight of the Yadus, beside him—fair as a swan, moon, or jasmine, clad in blue garments.
He saw him tall, with lofty arms, a radiant lotus-like face, surrounded by clouds, like another Mount Kailasa.
Seeing them, his lotus-like face blossoming, that wise Akrura became thrilled in every limb, O twice-born.
This is the supreme abode, this indeed is the highest state—Vasudeva himself, who is established here in two forms.
May my eyes at once attain fulfillment, having seen the Lord of the universe and his radiant smile; by the grace of the Blessed One, even this body, joined to his, may reach the path of fruitfulness.
Today, by touching my lotus-hand, the glorious, infinite Lord will act; by the mere touch of whose finger, all sins are destroyed and people attain unsurpassed perfection.
Thus, delighted gods—Ashvins, Rudra, Indra, and Vasus—grant boons; when the demon king was struck down by the discus, the eyes of demon maidens were filled with tears.
Where Bali, placing water with his mind, gained enjoyments while dwelling on earth; in the same way, Indra, lord of immortals, attained the full term of sovereignty over the gods.
O Lord, because of my association with Kamsa, I have become a repository of faults, though not inherently faulty; let there be no pride in me, for my mind has been cast out from the company of the virtuous.
Of him who is the essence of knowledge, the source of all beings, ever pure and manifest—what in this world among all people is unknown, when he dwells in their hearts?
Therefore, with a body humbled by devotion, I approach the Lord of the universe, the Lord of lords, the partial incarnation of the Supreme Person, Vishnu, who is without beginning, middle, or end, and unborn.
Thinking thus of Govinda, the Yadava Akrura approached and bowed his head at the feet of Hari, saying, 'I am Akrura.'
He too, with a hand marked by the banner, thunderbolt, and lotus, touched and drew him close, embracing him tightly with affection.
Having exchanged proper greetings with Akrura, Balarama and Keshava then quickly entered their own residence, taking him along.
Then, after performing the customary acts of hospitality with them, Akrura, having been fed as was proper, recounted everything to the two.
How Kamsa rebuked Anakadundubhi, and how the goddess Devaki was treated by the evil-natured demon.
How Kamsa, that wicked one, behaves toward Ugrasena, and for what purpose Kamsa sent him away.
Having heard all this in detail, the Blessed Slayer of Keshi said, 'All this, O lord of gifts, I already know.'
'I will do, O fortunate one, whatever is appropriate in this matter; know for certain that Kamsa has already been slain by me.'
'Tomorrow, Rama and I will go to Mathura together with you, and the elder cowherds will also come, bringing many gifts.'
Be assured, O hero, do not give way to worry; within three nights I will slay Kaṃsa along with his followers.
Then, after instructing the cowherds, Akrūra together with Keśava and Balabhadra slept well, having gone to the house of Nanda the cowherd.
At dawn, when the day was clear, the mighty Rāma and Kṛṣṇa, together with Akrūra, prepared to go to the city of Mathurā.
Seeing this, the cowherd women, with tears in their eyes, loose bangles, and weakened arms, sighed in deep sorrow and spoke these words to one another.
Having reached Mathurā, how will Govinda return to Gokula? He will drink with his ears the sweet words of the city women.
When his mind is captivated by the charming words of the city women, how will it return to the village cowherd girls?
The essence of the entire cowherd community, Hari, has been forcibly taken from the cowherd women by a pitiless, wicked man.
The words filled with hidden meaning, the graceful and playful movements, and the sidelong glances of the city women are indeed exceedingly alluring.
