उमामहेश्वरं देवमवियोगं सुरार्चितम्

प्रणम्य शिरसा भूमौ क्षमस्वेति गुरुं वदेत् यः प्रकुर्यात्पुमान्स्त्री वा तस्य पुण्यफलं शृणु
Bowing with one's head to the ground, say to the guru, 'Forgive me.' Hear the merit gained by anyone, man or woman, who performs this.
गन्धर्वयक्षलोकांश्च विद्याधरमहोरगान्
He attains the worlds of Gandharvas, Yakshas, Vidyadharas, and great serpents.
भुक्त्वा भोगानशेषांश्च एकविंशत्कुलान्वितः
Having enjoyed all pleasures, accompanied by twenty-one families.
तत्र भुक्त्वा महाभोगान्स भुंक्ते शिववद्बहून्
There, having enjoyed great pleasures, he partakes of many delights like Shiva.
भुक्त्वा भोगान्यदा भूतः कदाचित्तपसः क्षयात 4.29.
Having enjoyed pleasures, when the merit of austerity is exhausted, one is born again.
स्त्री वा समाचरेद्या तु महादेवी तु जायते त्रैलोक्यपतिरुद्रेणसा भुंक्ते सहिता तथा
If a woman observes this, she becomes a great goddess, and together with Rudra, the lord of the three worlds, she enjoys happiness.
मनुर्द्देव्या यथामह्या शच्या शक्रो यथासुखम्
Just as Manu with the goddess Mahī, and Indra with Śacī, enjoy as they wish.
सावित्री ब्रह्मणो यद्वद्गंगा तोयनिधेर्यथा
Just as Sāvitrī is with Brahmā, and Gaṅgā with the ocean of waters.
अथ जन्मन्यहोन्यस्मिन्व्रतमेतत्कृतं भवेत् योजनायुतसाहस्रे सुरूपा मण्डले भवेत्
If this vow is performed in another birth or on another day, she becomes beautiful and radiant within a circle ten thousand yojanas wide.
एत्तते निखिलं प्रोक्तमानंतर्यव्रतं मया
Thus, I have completely described this Ānantaryavrata.
एषा विशेषविहिताभिहिता तृतीया यानंतरीत्य विधवाभिरुदीरितोच्चैः
This is the special, prescribed third Ānantarī, proclaimed aloud by widows.

तस्यां यद्दीयते किंञ्चित्तत्सर्वं चाक्षयं भवेत्
Whatever is given on that day, all of it becomes imperishable.
गृहमागत्य करकान्सान्नानुदकसंयुतान्
Coming home, he prepared bowls filled with food and water.
यवगोधूमचणकसक्तुदध्यौदनं तथा
Barley, wheat, chickpeas, flour, curd, and rice as well.
शुचिः शुद्धेन मनसा ब्राह्मणेभ्यो ददौ वणिक्
The merchant, pure and with a pure mind, gave these to the Brāhmaṇas.
