प्रभाते शक्तितो दद्याद्भोजनं मिथुनस्य तु
In the morning, according to her ability, she should offer food to a married couple.
तद्वत्कृष्णतृतीयायां रुद्राणीं नामभिर्यजेत्
Likewise, on Krishna Tritiya, she should worship Rudrani by her names.
पिण्याकं प्राश यित्वा तु स्वप्याद्रात्रौ विमत्सरा
After eating pinyaka, she should sleep at night, free from envy.
भाद्रे शुक्लतृतीयायां पूजयेत हिमाद्रिजाम्
In the month of Bhadra, on Shukla Tritiya, she should worship the daughter of Himadri.
गन्धोदकं ततः प्राश्य सखीभिः सहिता स्वपेत् 4.29.
Then, after drinking fragrant water, she should sleep together with her friends.
तद्वत्कृष्णतृतीयायां दुर्गां दैवीं समर्चयेत्
Likewise, on Krishna Tritiya, she should worship Durga, the divine goddess.
प्राशयित्वा तु गोमूत्रं स्वप्याच्छांतेन चेतसा
After drinking cow urine, she should sleep with a peaceful mind.
मासि चाश्वयुजे भक्त्या देवीं नारायणीं यजेत्
In the month of Ashvayuja, with devotion, she should worship the goddess Narayani.
प्राशयेच्चंदनं रक्तं स्वप्याच्च गतमत्सरा
She should consume red sandalwood and sleep, having abandoned envy.
तथा कृष्णतृतीयायां स्वस्ति नाम प्रपूज येत्
Similarly, on Krishna Tritiya, she should worship the goddess named Svasti.
कुसुंभबीजान्संप्राश्य त्यक्त्वा कामं स्वपेन्निशि
After eating kusumbha seeds, she should sleep at night, renouncing desire.
कार्तिकस्य तृतीयायां स्वाहानाम्नीं प्रपूजयेत्
On Tritiya in Kartika, she should worship the goddess named Svaha.
स्वप्याद्रात्रौ जितक्रोधा प्राश्य कुंकुमकेशरान्
At night, having conquered anger, she should consume saffron and sleep.
तथा कृष्णतृतीयायां स्वधानाम्नीं प्रपूजयेत्
Likewise, on Krishna Tritiya, she should worship the goddess named Svadha.
प्रातः संभोज्य मिथुनं नक्तव्रतफलं लभेत् 4.29.
In the morning, after feeding a married couple, she attains the fruit of the naktavrata.
शुक्लपक्षे तृतीयायां सोपवासा निरामया
On Tritiya in the bright fortnight, observing a fast, she remains free from illness.
मंडलं च ततो लिख्य नवनाभं वरप्रदम्
Then draw a circle with nine spokes, bestowing blessings.
ताभ्यां नेत्रेषु दातव्यं मौक्तिकं नीलमेव च
To both eyes, offer a pearl and a sapphire.
उपवीतं तु देवस्य देव्या हारं तथो रसि
Place a sacred thread upon the god, and a necklace upon the goddess at her waist.
चतुःसमेन वालभ्य पुष्पैर्धूपैरथार्च्चयेत्
With four kinds of flowers and incense, worship them accordingly.
ततोऽपराजितां नाम देवीं तत्रैव पुजयेत्
Then, in that very place, worship the goddess named Aparājitā.
गीतवाद्योत्सवैर्हृद्यैर्वीणामंगलपाठकैः
With pleasing songs, musical instruments, and auspicious recitations by veena players.
तूलीगंडकसंयुक्ते पर्यंकेत्यंतशोभिते
Adorned with cotton and balls, and splendid at the head of the couch.
वितानध्वजमालालिकिंकिणीदर्प्पणान्वितम्
Decorated with canopies, banners, garlands, bells, and mirrors.
तस्याग्रे भोजयेद्भक्त्या स्वशक्त्या मिथुनानि च 4.29.
In front of her, offer food with devotion and according to one's ability, also to couples.
ततो दत्त्वाऽक्षतान्हस्ते तांबूलं विनिवेदयेत्
Then, after giving unbroken rice into the hand, present betel leaves.
उच्छिष्टं शोधयित्वा तु पुनः प्रोक्ष्य समन्ततः
Having purified the remnants, sprinkle again all around.
शृंगाभ्यां दत्तकनकां राजतखुरसंयुताम्
With two horns, give gold, joined with silver hooves.
घण्टाभरणशोभाढ्यां देवदेव्यग्रसंस्थिताम् त्रिधा प्रदक्षिणीकृत्य गुरोः सर्वं निवेदयेत्
Richly adorned with bell ornaments, placed before the god and goddess; circumambulate three times and offer everything to the guru.
उमामहेश्वरं देवमवियोगं सुरार्चितम्
Uma and Maheshvara, the inseparable gods, worshipped by the gods.
