भृंगारचमरादर्शकनकाभरणानि च स्वप्ने वृक्षाधिरोहे तु क्षिप्रमैश्वर्यमाहवे
If in a dream one sees bees, chowries, mirrors, or golden ornaments, or climbing a tree, there will soon be prosperity in battle.
दोहनं महिषीसिंहीगोधेनूनां करे स्वके
If one milks a buffalo, lioness, cow, or she-goat with one's own hand,
अविं हत्वा स्वयं खादेत्सिंहमंबुजमेव च
If one kills a sheep and eats it oneself, or likewise a lion or a lotus,
हैमे वा राजते वापि यो भुंक्ते पायसं नरः
If a man eats rice cooked with milk in a golden or silver vessel,
द्यूते च वाथ वा युद्धे विजयो हि सुखावहः
In gambling or in battle, victory brings happiness.
माल्यांबराणां शुक्लानां हयानां पशुपक्षिणाम्
Of garlands, garments, white horses, cattle, and birds—
हययाने भवेत्क्षिप्रं रथयाने प्रजागमः 1.194.
In a horse-drawn vehicle, progress is swift; in a chariot, the arrival of people occurs.
अगम्यागमनं धन्यं वेदाध्ययनमुत्तमम्
The coming and going to places that are usually inaccessible is auspicious; the study of the Vedas is excellent.
यद्वदंति नरं स्वप्ने सत्यमेवेति तद्विदुः
Whatever is spoken to a person in a dream, those who know declare it to be true.
राज्यं स्यात्स्वशिरश्छेदे धनं बहुवधे भवेत्
A kingdom results from the severing of one's own head; wealth arises from the killing of many.
पर्वतं तुरगं सिंहं वृषभं गजमेव हि
A mountain, a horse, a lion, a bull, and indeed an elephant.
आगृह्णानो ग्रहांस्तारा मरीचिं परिवर्तयन्
Seizing planets, stars, and revolving rays of light.
देहान्निष्कांतिरंत्राणां सर्वेषां च खगाधिप
The departure from the bodies of all beings, O lord of birds.
तस्यापत्यं भवेद्वीर अचलं च खगाधिप
His offspring will be heroic and steadfast, O lord of birds.
भवत्यर्थागमः शीघ्रं कृमिर्वा यदि भक्षयेत् । संयोगश्चैव मांगल्यैरारोग्यं धनमेव च
Acquisition of wealth happens quickly if one eats a worm; union with auspicious things, health, and wealth also occur.
ऐश्वर्यं राज्यलाभश्च यस्मिन्स्वप्न उदाहृतः
Prosperity and attainment of kingdom are indicated in whichever dream is described.
पंचभिः पुत्रबाहुल्यं षड्भिरायुः सुतान्धनम् ।। 1.194.
With five, there is abundance of sons; with six, there is longevity, children, and wealth.
इति श्रीभविष्ये महापुराणे ब्राह्मे पर्वणि सप्तमीकल्पे सूर्यारुणसंवादे स्वप्नवर्णनं नाम चतुर्नवत्यधिकशततमोऽध्यायः

तुल्यं किल खगश्रेष्ठ यथाख्यातं विवस्वता
I will recount everything to you as you have thoroughly inquired.
पुत्रदारधनक्षेत्रे गृह्णीयात्सप्तमीव्रतम्
It is equal, O best of birds, as has been declared by Vivasvat.
सप्तम्यः सप्तआख्यातास्तासां नामानि मे शृणु
One should undertake the Saptami vow for sons, wife, wealth, and land.
तृतीया निंबपत्रैश्च चतुर्थी फल सप्तमी

घृतशाल्योदनं कृत्वा भक्षयेत्तु विधानतः
Having prepared rice cooked with ghee, one should eat it according to the prescribed manner.
एकैकवृद्धाभियुक्तैर्यो वसेत्तु खगेश्वर 1.195.
Whoever lives with the guidance of elders, O king of birds, in this way—
एवं लब्धफलानीह पक्षयोरुभयोरपि
Thus, the fruits obtained here are gained in both fortnights.
आचरेद्विधिवद्भक्त्या पूजयित्वा विभावसुम्
One should perform the observance properly, with devotion, after worshipping Agni.
