सूर्यार्चनपरो नित्यं शुक्रः शुक्लनिभस्तदा
Always devoted to worship of the sun, Śukra, resembling white, at that time.
नानारूपधरोव्यक्त अविज्ञातगतिश्च यः
Assuming various forms, unmanifest, whose path is unknown.
एकचूलो द्विचूलश्च त्रिशिखः पंचचूलकः
One with a single tuft, two tufts, three locks, or five tufts of hair.
सूर्यपुत्रोग्निपुत्रस्तु ब्रह्मविष्णुशिवात्मकः
The son of the Sun, the son of Fire, embodying Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva.
एते ग्रहा महात्मानः सूर्यार्चनपराः सदा 1.175.
These great beings are always devoted to the worship of the Sun.
इति श्रीभविष्ये महापुराणे ब्राह्मे पर्वणि सप्तमीकल्पे सौरधर्मेषु सूर्याग्निकर्मणि पंचसप्तत्युत्तरशततमोऽध्यायः

चतुर्मुखो देवपतिः सूर्यार्चनपरः सदा ब्रह्मशब्देन दिव्येन ब्रह्मा शांतिं करोतु ते
The four-faced lord of the gods is always devoted to the worship of the Sun; may Brahma, by his divine name, grant you peace.
पीतांबरधरो देव आत्रेयीदयितः सदा
The god who wears yellow garments is always dear to Atri's lineage.
यज्ञदेहः क्रमो देव आत्रेयीदयितः सदा
The god whose body is sacrifice, whose form is order, is always dear to Atri's lineage.
सूर्यभक्तान्वितो नित्यं विगतिर्विगतत्रयः
He is always accompanied by devotees of the Sun, free from movement and the threefold bonds.
शशिकुंदेंदुसंकाशो विश्रुताभरणैरिह
He shines like the moon and the jasmine flower, adorned here with renowned ornaments.
चतुर्मुखो भस्मधरः स्मशाननिलयः सदा
The four-faced one, bearing ashes, always dwells in the cremation ground.
वरो वरेण्यो वरदो देवदेवो महेश्वरः
The bestower of boons, the most excellent, the giver of blessings, the god of gods, the great lord.
इति श्रीभविष्ये महापुराणे ब्राह्मे पर्वणि सप्तमीकल्पे सौरधर्मेषु षट्सप्तत्युत्तरशततमोऽध्यायः

अग्निकार्यविधिवर्णनम् अक्षमालार्पितकरा कमंडलुधरा शुभा

The goddess who rides a peacock, whose form is vermilion-red.
सूर्यभक्ता महावीर्या सूर्यार्चनरता सदा
Devoted to the Sun, possessing great valor, always intent on worshipping the Sun.
गदाचक्रधरा श्यामा पीतांबरधरा खग
Dark-complexioned, bearing mace and discus, clad in yellow garments, O bird.
सूर्यार्चनपरा नित्यं सूर्यैकगतमानसा
Ever devoted to the worship of the Sun, her mind fixed solely on the Sun.
ऐरावतगजारूढा वज्रहस्ता महा बला

Her waist is half a kośa thin, emaciated, with only sinews binding her flesh.
कपालमालिनी क्रूरा खट्वांगवरधारिणी
Wearing a garland of skulls, fierce, bearing the khaṭvāṅga club as her weapon.
गोश्रुताभरणा देवी प्रेतस्थाननिवासिनी चामुंडा चंडरूपेण सदा शांतिं करोतु ते
The goddess adorned with cow's ear ornaments, dwelling in the abode of spirits—may Cāmuṇḍā, in her fierce form, always grant you peace.
