पुनराह सुरज्येष्ठः प्रणम्य शिरसा रविम्
Again, the chief among gods bowed his head and spoke to Ravi.
तत्र देवकदंबैस्तु भवान्नित्यं निवत्स्यति
There, among the divine clusters, you will always reside.
इन्द्रः पूर्वदिशो भागे आग्नेय्यां शांडिलीसुतः
Indra will be in the eastern quarter, Sandili's son in the southeast.
पश्चिमायां तु वरुणो वायव्यां तु सदागतिः
Varuna will be in the west, Sadagati in the northwest.
ऐशान्यां शंकरो देवो मध्ये त्वं विष्णुना सह
Shankara will be in the northeast, and in the center, you will be with Vishnu.
कृतकृत्यं तथात्मानं मन्यते च नराधिप 1.155.
Thus, the king considers himself accomplished and fulfilled.
स च सिद्धिं गतो वीर प्रसादाद्भास्करस्य तु
And that hero attained perfection through the grace of Bhaskara.
जगाम सह देवेन पर्वतं गन्धमादनम्
He went together with the god to the Gandhamadana mountain.
कपर्दिनं शूलधरं चन्द्रार्ककृतशेखरम्
To Kapardina, the bearer of the trident, whose crest is made of moon and sun.
गन्धमाल्योपहारैश्च नृत्यगीतप्रवादितैः । संपूज्यैव महद्व्योम जगाम शिरसा महीम्
With offerings of fragrant garlands, and with dance, song, and music, having worshipped the great sky, he touched the earth with his head.
दृष्ट्वैवं पूजयन्तं च भास्करस्त्रिपुरांतकम्
Seeing him thus worshipping, Bhaskara beheld Tripurantaka.
भीम तुष्टोऽस्मि ते वत्स वरं मत्तो वृणुष्व वै
Bhima, I am pleased with you, child; ask a boon from me.
श्रुत्वैवं वचनं भानोर्महादेवो महीपते उवाच प्रणतो भूत्वा अष्टांगैर्भूतलं गतः
Hearing these words of Bhanu, Mahadeva, O king, spoke, having bowed and touched the earth with eight limbs.
नमोनमस्ते देवेश प्रभाकर दिवाकर
Salutations to you, Lord of the gods, radiant one, maker of day.
तवांगसंभवो देव पुत्रोहं वल्लभस्तव 1.155.
O god, I am your son, born from your body, your beloved.
ललाटात्त्वं समुत्पन्नः पुत्रः पुत्रवतां वर
You have arisen from the forehead, O best among sons.
वरं वरय भद्रं ते मनना त्वं यमिच्छसि
Choose a boon, may it be auspicious for you; think upon what you desire.
प्रयच्छ मे वरं भानो देहि भक्तिं ममाचलाम्
Grant me a boon, O Bhanu; give me unwavering devotion.
देवदानवगंधर्वयक्षरक्षोगणांस्तथा
The hosts of gods, demons, gandharvas, yakshas, and rakshasas likewise.
तथा प्रयच्छ मे देव स्थानं च परमं विभो
Also grant me, O god, supreme abode, O mighty one.
हरिष्यसि जगच्चापि युगान्ते त्रिपुरान्तक
You will take away the world at the end of the age, O Tripurantaka.
यदेतत्पूजितं नित्यं मद्रूपं व्योम चोत्त मम् ईशाने च तथा भागे व्योम्नो वासो भविष्यति
Whatever form of mine is worshipped always, and the sky above, in the region of Ishana, there shall be dwelling in the sky.
कृतकृत्योऽस्मि देवेश यन्मे देवो वरप्रदः
I am fulfilled, O Lord of gods, since the god has granted me a boon.
त्रैसुरोपाख्यानवर्णनम् शालग्रामं जगामाशु वरं दातुं हरेर्नृप
The narration of the three Suras is described; he quickly went to Shalagrama to grant a boon to Hari, O king.
ददर्श स हरिं तत्र तपन्तं परमं तपः
There he saw Hari engaged in the highest austerity.
पूजयन्तं महद्व्योम चक्राकारमनौपमम्
He was worshipping the great sky, which was wheel-shaped and incomparable.
एवं संपूज्य तद्व्योम भक्त्या श्रद्धासमन्वितः
Thus, filled with devotion and faith, he reverently worshipped that sky.
विष्णुं तं प्रणतं दृष्ट्वा तुष्टो देवो विभावसुः
Seeing Viṣṇu bowing down, the god Vibhāvasu was pleased.
तद्वाक्यं केशवः श्रुत्वा शिरसा च महीं गतः
Hearing those words, Keśava bowed his head to the earth.
जगत्पते नमस्तेऽस्तु ग्रहाणां पतये नमः
O Lord of the universe, salutations to you; homage to the lord of the planets.
