चन्द्रादित्यौ चोत्पवने वीक्षणे च दिशस्तथा
The Moon and Sun are invoked at the wind-raising, and likewise when observing the directions.

कनकां द्विभुजां शुक्लां हस्ताभ्यां दर्भसंयुताम्
Golden, two-armed, fair, holding darbha grass in both hands.
उद्यदिन्दुनिभां रक्तां चतुर्भिर्भुजप ल्लवैः
Resembling the rising moon, red, with four tender arms.
भिन्नांजनचयप्रख्यां स्वर्णकुंभं तु वामतः
Resembling a mass of split collyrium, a golden pot is on the left.
सुप्रभामण्डलाभा च कराभ्यां तत्कृताञ्जलिः
With a radiant circle of light, she joins her hands in reverence.
जपाकुसुमसंकाशा बहुरूपा सखे मम
Resembling the color of hibiscus flowers, manifold in form, O friend of mine.
नीलोत्पलनिभे देवि वह्निवर्णपराभवे
O goddess, dark as a blue lotus, surpassing the color of fire.
देवध्यानविधानवर्णनम् धान्यप्रतिष्ठां तस्यैव यूपं चापि यथाविधि
The establishment of grain and the sacrificial post should be performed according to prescribed rules.
रात्रौ मूलाग्रे च घटे स्थापयेद्गणनायकम्
At night, at the base of the root and in the pot, one should place the leader of the group.
ब्रह्माणं च तडागेषु वरुणं शान्तियागके

पादोऽस्येत्यथ भुक्तं स्याद्याः फलिनीति पुनः फलम्
Then, reciting 'This is his foot,' one should offer food, and again, fruit, reciting 'May it bear fruit.'
युवा सुवासेति वस्त्रं नागगन्धेति चन्दनम्
Reciting 'He is young and well-clad,' one should offer cloth; reciting 'With the fragrance of nāga,' one should offer sandalwood.
सुनातीति वचो दद्यात्ततश्चावाहयेत्प्रभुम्
Reciting 'Well praised,' one should offer words, and then invite the Lord.
आचार्यो यजमानश्च ऋत्विग्भोजनमाचरेत्
The teacher and the sacrificer, along with the priests, should partake of the food.
