यस्माद्रत्नप्रदानेन तुष्टिमेति जनार्दनः
Because by the giving of jewels, Janardana attains satisfaction.
अनेन विधिना यस्तु दद्याद्रत्नमयं गिरिम् 4.202.
Whoever, according to this procedure, gives a mountain made of jewels,
यावत्कल्पशतं साग्रमुषित्वेह नराधिप
O king, he enjoys here for a full hundred aeons,
ब्रह्महत्यादिकं किंचिदत्र चामुत्र वा कृतम्
Whatever sin, such as Brahmin-murder, is committed here or elsewhere,
मुक्तामयं कनकविद्रुमभक्तिचित्रं चंचन्महामणिमरीचिचयोपपन्नम्
Adorned with pearls, gold, coral, and intricate designs, radiant with the brilliance of great gems.
इति श्रीभविष्ये महापुराण उत्तरपर्वणि श्रीकृष्णयुधिष्ठिरसंवादे रत्नाचलदानविधिवर्णनं नाम द्वयधिकद्विशततमोऽध्यायः

रौप्याचलदानविधिवर्णनम् यत्प्रदानान्नरो याति सोमलोकं नरोत्तम
Description of the procedure for giving the silver mountain: By giving this, a person attains the world of Soma, O best of men.
सहस्रेण पलानां तु उत्तमो रजताचलः
The best silver mountain consists of a thousand palas in weight.
अशक्तो विंशतेरूर्ध्वं कारयेद्भक्तितः सदा
If unable to give more than twenty, one should always make it with devotion.
पूर्ववद्राजतान्कुर्यान्मंदरादीन्विधानतः
As before, one should fashion the silver according to the prescribed forms of Mandara and other mountains.
ब्रह्मविष्णुशिवादींश्च नितंबोऽत्र हिरण्मयः
Depict Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, and others; the waist here should be made of gold.
शेषं च पूर्ववत्कृत्वा होमजागरणादिकम्
Having completed the rest as previously described, including the rites of offering and vigil.
विष्कंभशैलानृत्विग्भ्यः पूजयेच्च विभूषणैः
One should honor the priests with ornaments at the Viṣkambha mountain.
पितॄणां वल्लभं यस्माच्छर्मदं शंकरस्य च
Because it is dear to the ancestors and grants protection, and also to Shankara.
इत्थं निवेश्य यो दद्याद्रजताचलमुत्तमम्
Thus, whoever establishes and gives the best silver mountain.

शर्कराचलदानविधिवर्णनम् यस्य प्रदानाद्विष्ण्वर्करुद्रास्तुष्यंति सर्वदा
Description of the procedure for giving the sugar mountain: By whose gift, Vishnu, Arka, and Rudra are always pleased.
अष्टभिः शर्कराभारैरुत्तमः स्यान्महाचलः
With eight loads of sugar, the great mountain becomes excellent.
भारेणैवार्द्धभारेण कुर्याद्यश्चाल्पवित्तवान्
One who has little wealth may make it with a single load or half a load.
धान्यपर्वतवत्सर्वमासाद्य रससंयुतम्
All should be made like a mountain of grain, with flavors mixed in.

ऋत्विग्भ्यश्चतुरः शैलानिमान्मंत्रानुदीरयेत् 4.204.
Let the officiating priests recite these four mantras for the mountains.
यस्मादानंदकारी त्वं भव शैलेंद्र सर्वदा
O lord of mountains, since you always bring joy, remain so forever.
देवानां तत्समुत्थोऽसि पाहि नः शर्कराचल
You have arisen from the gods; protect us, O mountain of sugar.
तन्मयोऽसि महाशैल पाहि संसारसागरात्
You are composed of that essence, O great mountain; save us from the ocean of worldly existence.
सर्वपापविनिर्मुक्तः स याति शिवमंदिरम्
Freed from all sins, he attains the abode of Shiva.
