अल्पवित्तस्तु कुर्वीत यथाशक्त्या विधानतः
One with little wealth should make it according to his ability and the prescribed method.
शालेयतंदुलानां च कुंभांश्च परिविन्यसेत्
He should arrange pots of rice grains as well.
वेष्टयेच्छुक्लवासोभिरिक्षुदंडफलादिकैः
He should wrap them with white cloths, and with sugarcane sticks and fruits.
अधिवासनपूर्वं च तद्वद्धोमं सुरार्चनम्
Before consecration, likewise, he should perform the oblation and worship of the gods.
विष्कंभपर्वतांस्तद्वदृत्विग्भ्यः शांतमानसः
In the same way, he should give the mountain supports to the priests, with a peaceful mind.
संयोगाद्घृतमुत्पन्नं यस्मादमृततेजसे
Because ghee arises from the union, possessing the brilliance of nectar.
तस्मात्तेजोमयं ब्रह्म घृते नित्यं व्यवस्थितम्
Therefore, the radiant Brahman is always established in ghee.
अनेन विधिना दद्याद्घृताचलमनुत्तमम् 4.201.
According to this procedure, one should offer the excellent mountain of ghee.
हंससारससंयुक्ते किंकिणीजालमालिते
Adorned with swans and cranes, and covered with a net of small bells,
विहरेत्पितृभिः सार्द्धं यावदाभूतसंप्लवम्
He shall enjoy with the ancestors until the end of creation.
आज्याचलं प्रचलकुंडलसुन्दरीभिः संसेव्यमानमिह ये वितरंति मर्त्याः
Those mortals who offer the mountain of clarified butter, served here by beautiful women with swinging earrings,
इति श्रीभविष्ये महापुराण उत्तरपर्वणि श्रीकृष्णयुधिष्ठिरसंवादे घृताचलदानविधिवर्णनं नामैकाधिकद्विशततमोऽध्यायः
Thus, in the glorious Bhavishya Mahapurana, in the Uttara Parva, in the dialogue between Shri Krishna and Yudhishthira, the two hundred and first chapter named 'Description of the Procedure for Giving a Mountain of Ghee' is concluded.
रत्नाचलदानविधिवर्णनम् यत्प्रदानान्नरो याति लोकान्सप्तर्षिसेवितान्
Description of the procedure for giving a mountain of jewels: By giving this, a man attains the worlds served by the Seven Sages.
मुक्ताफलसहस्रेण पर्वतः स्यादनुत्तमः
With a thousand pearls, the mountain becomes excellent.
अल्पवित्तस्तु कुर्वीत मुक्ताफलशतेन च
But one with little wealth should make it with a hundred pearls.
पूर्वेणवज्रगोमेदैर्दक्षिणेनेंद्रनीलकैः
On the east with diamonds and garnets, on the south with sapphires,
वैडूर्यविद्रुमैः पश्चात्सावित्रो विपुलाचलः
On the west with beryl and coral, thus the great mountain of Savitri.
धान्यपर्वतवच्छेषमत्रापि परिकल्पयेत्
The rest should be arranged here as with the mountain of grain.
पूजयेत्पुष्पनैवेद्यैः प्रभाते तु विसर्जनम्
He should worship with flowers and offerings, and in the morning perform the dismissal.
यथा देवगणाः सर्वे सर्वरत्नेष्ववस्थिताः
Just as all the hosts of gods are established in all the jewels,
यस्माद्रत्नप्रदानेन तुष्टिमेति जनार्दनः
Because by the giving of jewels, Janardana attains satisfaction.
अनेन विधिना यस्तु दद्याद्रत्नमयं गिरिम् 4.202.
Whoever, according to this procedure, gives a mountain made of jewels,
यावत्कल्पशतं साग्रमुषित्वेह नराधिप
O king, he enjoys here for a full hundred aeons,
ब्रह्महत्यादिकं किंचिदत्र चामुत्र वा कृतम्
Whatever sin, such as Brahmin-murder, is committed here or elsewhere,
मुक्तामयं कनकविद्रुमभक्तिचित्रं चंचन्महामणिमरीचिचयोपपन्नम्
Adorned with pearls, gold, coral, and intricate designs, radiant with the brilliance of great gems.
इति श्रीभविष्ये महापुराण उत्तरपर्वणि श्रीकृष्णयुधिष्ठिरसंवादे रत्नाचलदानविधिवर्णनं नाम द्वयधिकद्विशततमोऽध्यायः
Thus, in the glorious Bhavishya Mahapurana, in the Uttaraparva, in the dialogue between Shri Krishna and Yudhishthira, is the description of the procedure for giving Ratnachala, the two-hundred-and-second chapter.
रौप्याचलदानविधिवर्णनम् यत्प्रदानान्नरो याति सोमलोकं नरोत्तम
Description of the procedure for giving the silver mountain: By giving this, a person attains the world of Soma, O best of men.
सहस्रेण पलानां तु उत्तमो रजताचलः
The best silver mountain consists of a thousand palas in weight.
अशक्तो विंशतेरूर्ध्वं कारयेद्भक्तितः सदा
If unable to give more than twenty, one should always make it with devotion.
पूर्ववद्राजतान्कुर्यान्मंदरादीन्विधानतः
As before, one should fashion the silver according to the prescribed forms of Mandara and other mountains.
