यथाशक्त्या च राजेन्द्र गुरुं गौरवयंत्रितः
According to his ability, O lord of kings, he should honor the guru with respect.
अभ्यर्च्य दक्षिणाभिश्च ब्राह्मणांश्च विसर्जयेत्
Having worshipped and given fees, he should dismiss the Brahmins.
तस्मिन्नहनि दातव्यं मित्रस्वजनबंधुषु
On that very day, gifts should be given to friends, relatives, and kin.
कुर्यान्नरो वा नारी वा प्रतिष्ठां सार्वलौकिकीम्
Whether man or woman, one should perform this universal installation.
कुलं च तारितं तेन सत्पुत्रेण युधिष्ठिर
By this, the family is carried across, O Yudhishthira, by a true son.
तावदस्याक्षया कीर्तिस्त्रैलोक्ये संप्रसर्पति
For so long, his undying fame spreads throughout the three worlds.
तावद्वर्षसहस्राणि स्वर्गलोके महीयते
For so many thousands of years, he is honored in the world of heaven.
वसेद्धृष्टमनाः स्वर्गे यावदिंद्राश्चतु र्दश
He dwells in heaven, his mind delighted, as long as the fourteen Indras reign.
पुत्रपौत्रान्वितः श्रीमान्दीर्घायुरतिधार्मिकः
He is blessed with sons and grandsons, wealthy, long-lived, and exceedingly righteous.
श्रूयते च पुरा राजा रजिर्नाम महाबलः 4.191.
It is heard that in ancient times there was a king named Raji, of great strength.
मही येन पुरा दत्ता देवराजस्य संगरे
By whom, in the past, the earth was given to the king of the gods in battle.
महेन्द्राय महाभाग सर्वं निहतकंटकम्
To the illustrious Mahendra, the entire earth, cleared of all obstacles.
तावत्तत्राजगामाथ पुलस्त्यो ब्रह्मणः सुतः
Then, at that time, Pulastya, the son of Brahma, arrived there.
दत्तार्घस्तु तदा तेन उपविष्टो वरासने
He was offered arghya and seated upon a splendid seat.
अथ तं पूजयित्वाग्रे मधुपर्केण पार्थिवः
Then, having honored him with a madhuparka, the king proceeded.
भगवन्केन दानेन तपसा नियमेन वा
O revered one, by what gift, austerity, or discipline
बलं पुष्टिं धनं धान्यं पुत्रपौत्रं तथोत्तमम्
Does one obtain strength, nourishment, wealth, grain, and excellent sons and grandsons?
कथ्यमानां मया सम्यक्सप्तमे तव जन्मनि
I am relating this to you fully, concerning your seventh birth.
कथेयमभिनिर्वृत्ता शृणुष्वैश्वर्यवर्द्धिनीम्
This account has been completed; listen, it increases prosperity.
बहुभृत्यपरीवारो धनधान्यसमन्वितः 4.191.
Surrounded by many servants, endowed with wealth and grain.
तत्र त्वया श्रुता धर्मा धर्माख्यानगतेन वै
There, you heard the dharmas through the narration of righteousness.
प्रसंगेन कदाचिच्च प्रतिष्ठा भौवनी त्वया
And sometimes, through association, you established the Bhauvana.
फलेन तेन जातोऽसि सप्त जन्मानि भूपतिः
By the fruit of that, you became a king for seven births.
अपराण्यपि जन्मानि सप्त राजा भविष्यसि
And in other births as well, you will be a king for seven times.
एतत्ते सर्वमाख्यातं यन्मां परिपृच्छसि
All this has been told to you, as you have questioned me.
प्रकरोति विधानेन कृतकृत्यो भवेद्बुधः
One who acts according to the prescribed method becomes accomplished, O wise one.
ययावदर्शनं तत्र सूर्ये वैश्वानरोपमः
He departed for that vision, shining like the sun and resembling fire.
धर्मं विवर्द्धयति कीर्तिं शतानि धत्ते कामं प्रसाधयति पापमपाकरोति
He increases righteousness, attains fame by the hundreds, fulfills desire, and removes sin.
इति श्रीभविष्ये महापुराण उत्तरपर्वणि श्रीकृष्णयुधिष्ठिरसंवादे भुवनप्रतिष्ठावर्णनं नामैकनवत्युत्तरशततमोऽध्यायः
Thus ends the ninety-first chapter, named 'Description of the Establishment of Worlds,' in the dialogue between Shri Krishna and Yudhishthira, in the Uttaraparva of the glorious Bhavishya Mahapurana.
