इत्युच्चार्य स्वयं भक्त्या कृत्वा चैव प्रदक्षिणाम्
Having recited thus with devotion, and having circumambulated,
सौवर्णं धर्मराजं तु सव्ये कृत्वा करे ततः
Then, holding the golden image of Dharmarāja in the left hand,
जान्वोरंतरतश्चैव शिरः कृत्वा समाहितः
And placing it between the knees, with the head intent,
गर्भाधानं पुंसवनं सीमंतोन्नयनं तथा
The rites of garbhādhāna, puṃsavana, and sīmantonnayana likewise,
जातकर्मादिकाः कुर्युः क्रियाः षोडश चापराः
And the rites beginning with jātakarma, and sixteen other ceremonies, should be performed.
तावन्मुखं न पश्येत कस्यचिन्नृपसत्तम
Until then, O best of kings, he should not look at anyone's face.
ततः स्नानं प्रकुर्वीत ब्रह्मघोषपुरःसरम् 4.176.
After that, he should perform the bath, accompanied by the sound of Brahman chants.
रौप्यैरौदुंबरैर्वापि मृण्मयैर्वा सुशोभनैः
With beautiful vessels made of silver, udumbara wood, or clay,
पुष्पैरावेष्टितग्रीवैरव्रणैः कलशैर्दृढैः
With sturdy pots adorned with flowers around their necks, unbroken,
तत्र स्थाप्य महाभाग यजमानं द्विजोत्तमाः
There, O highly fortunate one, the best of twice-born should seat the sacrificer.
अद्य जातस्य तेंऽगानि अभिषेक्ष्यामहे वयम्
"Today, we shall anoint your limbs, as you have been born."
एवं कृताभिषेकस्तु यजमानः समाहितः
Thus, when the anointing has been performed, the sacrificer, being attentive,
तान्संपूज्य च भावेन बहुभ्यो वा तदाज्ञया
Having honored them with feeling, or by their command, with many,
पादुकोपानहौ चैव च्छत्रचामरभाजनम्
The sandals, shoes, umbrella, fly-whisk, and vessel,
तेषां चैव प्रदातव्यं दानं चात्र विशेषतः
And to them, gifts must especially be given here.
अन्नसत्रं च कर्तव्यं यावद्दानपरिग्रहः
A food distribution should be arranged for as long as the giving and receiving of gifts continues.
स कुलं तारयेत्सर्वं देवलोकं स गच्छति 4.176.
He rescues his entire lineage and attains the realm of the gods.
वापीकूपतडागाद्यैर्जलस्थानैरलंकृतम्
Adorned with ponds, wells, lakes, and other places of water.
प्रासादशतसंकीर्णं वरस्त्रीशतसेवितम्
Filled with hundreds of palaces and served by hundreds of noble women.
भूमयो यत्र राजेन्द्र दिव्या मणिमयाः शुभाः
Where, O king, the lands are divine, splendid, and made of jewels.
धृतं स्तम्भसहस्रेण सुकृतं विश्वकर्मणा
Supported by a thousand pillars, skillfully constructed by Viśvakarma.
तदारुह्य विमानाग्र्यं विद्याधरगणैर्युतम्
Ascending that supreme palace, accompanied by hosts of Vidyādharas.
मन्वन्तरशते जाते कर्मभूमौ प्रजायते
When a hundred Manvantaras have passed, he is born again on the earth of action.
धार्मिकः सत्यशीलश्च ब्रह्मण्यो गुरुवत्सलः
He is righteous, truthful in conduct, devoted to Brahman, and affectionate toward his teachers.
यस्त्विदं शृणुयाद्भक्त्या रहस्यं पापनाशनम्
Whoever listens with devotion to this secret, which destroys sin,
गर्भं हिरण्यरचितं विधिवत्प्रविश्य संस्कारसंस्कृततनुः पुनरेव तस्मात्
Having properly entered a womb made of gold, and with a body purified by rites, again from there—
इति श्रीभविष्ये महापुराण उत्तरपर्वणि श्रीकृष्णयुधिष्ठिरसंवादे हिरण्यगर्भदानविधिवर्णनं नाम षट्सप्तत्युत्तरशतत तमोऽध्यायः
Thus ends the description of the rite of giving the golden embryo, in the dialogue between Śrī Kṛṣṇa and Yudhiṣṭhira, in the Uttaraparva of the glorious Bhaviṣya Mahāpurāṇa, chapter one hundred seventy-six.
