जया च विजया चैव जयंती पापनाशिनी 4.146.
Jaya, Vijaya, and Jayantī, the destroyer of sins, are also present.
एताभिः शक्तिभिर्युक्तं लोकदिक्पालवर्जितम्
Endowed with these powers, excluding the guardians of the directions of the worlds.
सर्वाभरणशोभाढ्यं भुक्तिमुक्तिप्रदं हरिम्
Hari, adorned with all ornaments, grants both enjoyment and liberation.
मार्गशीर्षादिमासेषु द्वादशस्वपि सर्वदा
In the months beginning with Mārgaśīrṣa, in all twelve months, always—
कृतोपवासः शुद्धात्मा कुर्याद्व्रतमतंद्रितः
Having fasted, with a pure mind, one should perform the vow with diligence.
एवं तु नियमं कृत्वा दंतधावनपूर्वकम्
Thus, having observed the discipline, beginning with brushing the teeth—
स्नात्वा तु नैत्यकं कर्म कृत्वा नैमित्तिकं ततः
After bathing and performing the daily and occasional rites—
सौवर्णं कारयेद्देवं पूर्वोक्तं सत्यरूपिणम्
One should have a golden image of the previously described Satya form made.
सुवर्णपलमानेन कार्यमेतत्सविस्तरम्
This should be made in detail, according to the measure of a suvarṇa-pala of gold.
तत्कर्णिकागतं देवं शक्तिवृन्दसमन्वितम्
That deity, together with the host of powers, should be placed in the lotus.
शुद्धशुक्लांबरधरो मंत्रसंभारसंस्थितः तत्र त्वं सत्यया सार्द्धं सत्येश भव सन्निधौ ।। 4.146.
Clad in pure white garments, established in the assemblage of mantras, there, together with Satyā, O Lord of Truth, be present.
ॐ क्षीरसागरकल्लोले स्नाहि पापनिषूदन
Om, bathe in the surging waves of the ocean of milk, O destroyer of sin.
हरस्व सर्वं दुरितं मम नाथ जनार्दन
Remove all my faults, O Lord Janārdana.
यज्ञे योगे तथा सांख्ये पवित्रस्त्वं सदोच्यसे
In sacrifice, in yoga, and in Sāṅkhya, you are always called pure.
विलिप्तं कर्मणा सर्वं सत्यं सत्यं न केनचित्
All is covered by action; truly, truly, by none else.
सत्यनाथ नमस्तुभ्यं मूर्तामूर्तस्वरूपिणे
O Lord of Truth, I bow to you, who are the form of both the manifest and the unmanifest.
वाराहाच्युत यज्ञेश लक्ष्मीकांत नृपेश्वर
O Varāha, Acyuta, Lord of Sacrifice, beloved of Lakṣmī, king of kings,
संकर्षण महावीर्य सर्वेशामितविक्रम
O Saṅkarṣaṇa, of great might, lord of all, of immeasurable prowess,
(इति पूजामंत्रः) कृष्णकृष्ण प्रभो रामराम कृष्ण विभो हरे
(Thus is the worship mantra:) Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa, Lord; Rāma, Rāma; Kṛṣṇa, mighty one; Hari!
पूजा चेयं मया दत्ता पितामहजगद्गुरो
This worship has been offered by me, O grandsire, teacher of the world.
धनं गुप्तं महीपाल सर्वपापापनुत्तये 4.146.
This wealth is kept safe, O protector of the earth, for the removal of all sins.
दानं दद्यान्महाराज ह्यशक्तौ तदभावतः
A king should give charity, and if unable, then as much as possible.
संवत्सरे ततः पूर्णे कुर्यादुद्यापनं बुधः
When the year is complete, the wise should perform the concluding rite.
अनुज्ञां प्रार्थयेद्विप्रान्पापघ्वंसो ममास्तु वै
He should seek permission from the Brahmins: 'May the destruction of my sins indeed take place.'
ततः सर्वं ब्राह्मणाय समर्प्य च क्षमापयेत्
Then, having offered everything to the Brahmin, he should ask forgiveness.
यत्फलं सर्ववेदेषु सर्वतीर्थेषु यत्फलम्
Whatever fruit is found in all the Vedas, whatever fruit is found at all the sacred places,
इहलोके धनं धान्यं पुत्रमित्रसुखादिकम्
In this world: wealth, grain, sons, friends, happiness, and the like,
धर्ममथ च कामं च मोक्षं च नृपसत्तम
And also righteousness, desire, and liberation, O best of kings.
यः पठेच्छृणुयाद्वापि सर्वपापैः प्रमुच्यते
Whoever recites or even listens to this is freed from all sins.
अशक्तस्तु तथा शक्तो वित्तशाठ्यविवर्जितः
Whether unable or able, one who is free from miserliness regarding wealth—
