भार्यामातृसुतादीनां त्यागश्चापूज्य पूजनम् 4.146.
Abandoning wife, mother, son, and others, and honoring the unworthy—
संध्यातर्पणहोमानां हानिरग्नेः प्रणाशनम्
Neglect of twilight prayers, offerings, and fire rituals, and destruction of the sacred fire—
पैशुन्यं परदारेषु दानं वेश्याभिगामिता
Slander regarding other women, giving to prostitutes, and going to prostitutes—
अंत्यजागमनं मातृत्यागः पितृविवर्जनम्
Association with outcastes, abandonment of mother, and rejection of father—
अभक्ष्यभोजनं चापि पतिद्रोहोऽविचारता
Eating forbidden food, betrayal of one's husband, and lack of discernment—
इंद्रियाजयमायित्वं विद्याविस्मरणं तथा
Failure to control the senses, and forgetting knowledge—
भार्यापुत्रसुतादीनां विक्रयः पशुमैथुनम्
Selling wife, son, and others, and sexual intercourse with animals—
तडागागमने वृत्तं विद्याविक्रयकारिता
Going to ponds at improper times, selling knowledge—
स्त्रीवधो गोवधश्चैव पौरोहित्यं सुहृद्वधः
Killing a woman, killing a cow, officiating as a priest for the unworthy, and killing a friend—
शूद्रस्य चाग्निकर्मत्वमविधित्वं कुपुत्रता
A Shudra performing fire rituals, acting against the law, and being a wicked son—
श्रौतसंस्कार दीनत्वमार्तत्राणविवर्जनम् 4.146.
Neglect of Vedic sacraments, poverty, and failing to protect the distressed—
गुरुदाराभिगामित्वं संयोगश्चापि तैः सह
Approaching the wife of the teacher, and union with her—
अन्येऽपि विविधाः संति प्रोक्ताः प्राधान्यतस्त्वमी
There are also many others, but these are the principal ones that have been mentioned.
तथाप्येते न शक्यंते वक्तुं यस्मादनंतकाः
Yet even these cannot be fully described, for they are endless.
नश्यंति तत्क्षणान्नूनं सत्येशस्यानुपूजनात्
They surely perish instantly if Satyeśa is not properly worshipped.
ध्वजे सत्ये स्थितश्चायं लक्ष्म्या सह जगत्पतिः
On the banner, Satya stands here together with Lakṣmī, the Lord of the world.
कपिलः पश्चिमास्ये तु वाराहश्चोत्तरे स्थितः
Kapila is at the western face, and Varāha is established in the north.
तं सत्येशं स्थितं राजन्पूजयेच्च सदैव हि
O King, one should always worship that Satyeśa who is established there.
पद्मकौमोदकीशंखचक्रायुधविधारणम्
He bears the lotus, mace, conch, discus, and weapons.
पादाधस्ताद्विनिष्क्रांता गंगा पूता सदा नृभिः
From beneath his feet, the Ganges flows forth, always purified by men.
जया च विजया चैव जयंती पापनाशिनी 4.146.
Jaya, Vijaya, and Jayantī, the destroyer of sins, are also present.
एताभिः शक्तिभिर्युक्तं लोकदिक्पालवर्जितम्
Endowed with these powers, excluding the guardians of the directions of the worlds.
सर्वाभरणशोभाढ्यं भुक्तिमुक्तिप्रदं हरिम्
Hari, adorned with all ornaments, grants both enjoyment and liberation.
मार्गशीर्षादिमासेषु द्वादशस्वपि सर्वदा
In the months beginning with Mārgaśīrṣa, in all twelve months, always—
कृतोपवासः शुद्धात्मा कुर्याद्व्रतमतंद्रितः
Having fasted, with a pure mind, one should perform the vow with diligence.
एवं तु नियमं कृत्वा दंतधावनपूर्वकम्
Thus, having observed the discipline, beginning with brushing the teeth—
स्नात्वा तु नैत्यकं कर्म कृत्वा नैमित्तिकं ततः
After bathing and performing the daily and occasional rites—
सौवर्णं कारयेद्देवं पूर्वोक्तं सत्यरूपिणम्
One should have a golden image of the previously described Satya form made.
सुवर्णपलमानेन कार्यमेतत्सविस्तरम्
This should be made in detail, according to the measure of a suvarṇa-pala of gold.
तत्कर्णिकागतं देवं शक्तिवृन्दसमन्वितम्
That deity, together with the host of powers, should be placed in the lotus.
