संस्थापनाय देवानां वप्रत्रयसमावृतम्
For the installation of the gods, it should be enclosed by three embankments.
अंगुलोच्छ्रयसंयुक्तं वप्रद्वयमथोपरि
Above, there should be two embankments with a finger's height added.
दशांगुलोच्छ्रिता भित्तिः स्थंडिलस्य तथोपरि
The wall above the altar should be raised ten fingers high.
आदित्याभिमुखाः सर्वाः स्थाप्याः प्रत्यधिदेवताः
All subsidiary deities should be placed facing the sun.
गरुत्मानधिकस्तत्र संपूज्यः श्रियमिच्छता
Garuda is to be specially worshipped there by one desiring prosperity.
विषपापहरो नित्यमतः शांतिं प्रयच्छ मे 4.141.१
He is always the remover of poison and sin; therefore, grant me peace.
सहस्राणां शतं हुत्वा समित्संख्यादिकं पुनः
Having offered a hundred thousand oblations, then again according to the number of kindling sticks,
पाठयेत्सूक्तमाग्नेयं वैष्णवं रौद्रमैंदवम्
One should recite the Agneya, Vaishnava, Raudra, and Aindava hymns.
स्नानं तु यजमानस्य पूर्ववन्मन्त्रवाचनम्
The sacrificer should bathe, as before, with the recitation of mantras.
कामक्रोधविहीनेन ऋत्विग्भ्यः शांतचेतसः
Free from desire and anger, with a peaceful mind, the priests should be so as well.
अथ वा ऋत्विजौ शांतौ द्वावेव त्वतिकोविदौ
Alternatively, two priests who are peaceful and highly skilled may perform it.
नवग्रहमखे सर्वं लक्षहोमे दशोत्तरम्
In the Navagraha sacrifice, all is to be done with one hundred thousand and ten oblations.
न कुर्याद्दक्षिणाहीनं वित्तशाठ्येन मानवः 4.141.
A person should not perform a sacrifice without giving the prescribed gifts, out of miserliness.
अन्नदानं यथा शक्त्या दातव्यं भूतिमिच्छता
One desiring prosperity should give food donations according to one's capacity.
राष्ट्रं हन्यादंगहीनो मंत्रहीनस्तु ऋत्विजः
A priest lacking a limb destroys the kingdom; one lacking mantras destroys the priests.
न चाप्यल्पधनः कुर्याल्लक्षहोमं नरः क्वचित्
Nor should a man of little wealth ever perform the lakṣahoma.
तमेव पूजयेद्भक्त्या द्वौ वा त्रीन्वा यथाविधि
He should worship that one (priest) with devotion, or two or three, as prescribed.
दक्षिणाभिः प्रयत्नेन बहू्न्वा बहुवित्तवान्
Or, if he has much wealth, with effort he should give gifts to many.
यतः सर्वानवाप्नोति कुर्वन्कामान्विधानतः
For by doing so according to rule, he attains all desires.
यावत्कल्पशतान्यष्टावथ मोक्षमवाप्नुयात्
For as many as eight hundred kalpas, or else he may attain liberation.
स तं काममवाप्नोति पदं चानंत्यमश्नुते
He attains that very desire, and enjoys the eternal state.
भार्यार्थी शोभनां भार्यां कुमारी च शुभं पतिम्
A man desiring a wife obtains an excellent wife; a maiden, a worthy husband.
यं यं प्रार्थयते कामं तं तमाप्नोति पुष्कलम् 4.141.
Whatever desire one prays for, that very desire is abundantly attained.
शांतिं नवग्रहमयीं दुरितोपशांतिं राजन्करोति बहुना विधिवद्द्विजेन्द्रैः
A king, with many foremost twice-borns performing the rite properly, attains peace related to the nine planets and the removal of misfortune.
इति श्रीभविष्ये महापुराण उत्तरपर्वणि श्रीकृष्णयु धिष्ठिरसंवादे नवग्रहलक्षहोमविधिवर्णनं नामैकचत्वारिंशदुत्तरशततमोऽध्यायः
Thus ends the one hundred forty-first chapter, named 'Description of the Ritual for the Sacrifice of a Hundred Thousand Offerings to the Nine Planets,' in the Uttaraparva of the glorious Bhavishya Mahapurana, in the dialogue between Shri Krishna and Yudhishthira.
कोटिहोमविधिवर्णनम् श्रीकृष्ण उवाच राजा संवरणः पूर्वं प्रतिष्ठाने पुरोत्तमे

ब्रह्मण्यः पितृभक्तश्च देवब्राह्मणपूजकः
Shri Krishna said: King Samvarana, in ancient times, at the excellent city of Pratishthana,
आजगाम महायोगी सनको ब्रह्मणः सुतः
was devoted to Brahman, reverent toward his ancestors, and worshipped gods and Brahmins.
पूजयित्वार्घ्यपाद्याद्यैरात्मानं विनिवेद्य च
The great yogi Sanaka, son of Brahma, arrived there.
राजर्षीणां पुराणां च चरितानि यथार्थवित्
Having worshipped him with offerings of water for the feet and other rites, and having presented himself,
