Fame, Fortune, Steadfastness, Wisdom, Nourishment, Faith, Action, and Intellect—
May these wives of Dharma, assembled together, anoint you.
May the planets anoint you, and may Rāhu and Ketu be satisfied.
May the seers, the Manus, the cows, and also the mothers of the gods be satisfied.
May all weapons, all arms, kings, and vehicles be satisfied.
May the rivers, oceans, mountains, sacred fords, clouds, and streams be satisfied.
Then, wearing white garments and anointed with white fragrance,
The sacrificer, together with his wife, should worship those who grant success, being focused.
He should give a tawny cow to the Sun, and a conch to the Moon.
He should give gold to Mercury, and yellow garments to the preceptor.
He should give iron to Rāhu, and an excellent goat to Ketu.
Or, he may give to all, or to the preceptor, whatever brings satisfaction.
O Kapilā, among all the gods, you are to be worshipped, O Rohiṇī.
O conch, you are the most auspicious among the auspicious, and the most blessed among the blessed.
O Dharma, in the form of the bull, you bring joy to the world.
O gold, you are the seed of fire, abiding in the womb of Hiraṇyagarbha.
One should give a pair of yellow garments, dear to Vāsudeva.
O Kapilā, in the form of a horse, you are the source of ambrosia.
Because of you, O cow called Kṛṣṇā, the entire earth exists.
Because all works involving iron are always under your control.
Because you, O goat, are established as an essential part of sacrificial rites,
The fourteen worlds abide in the limbs of the cow.
Because the resting place of Keśava and Śiva is never empty,
Just as all the gods are established within all the jewels,
Just as they do not deserve even a sixteenth part of the merit of giving land,
In this way, one should worship with devotion, free from the deceit of wealth.
Now hear from me the peerless form of the planets as it is described: seated on a lotus, holding a lotus, with a radiance equal to the womb of a lotus,
White in color, clad in white garments, drawn by ten horses, adorned with white ornaments,
Wearing red garlands and garments, with a brilliance like the karnikāra flower,
Wearing yellow garlands and garments, anointed with yellow fragrance,
