एतैर्द्विजैर्विधिवरप्रहुतो हुताशः पश्यत्यसावहिमदीधितिरंबरस्थः
By these twice-born, duly invoked, the fire-god, shining like the rays of the cold moon in the sky, is seen.
इत्येवमुक्त्वा तं वृक्षं लालयित्वा पुनःपुनः
Thus having spoken, and having fondly caressed that tree again and again,
अङ्गादङ्गात्संभवसि हृदयादभिजायसे 4.128.
From limb to limb you are born; from the heart you arise.
ब्राह्मणानां ततो देया दक्षिणा हृष्टमानसैः
Then, gifts should be given to the Brahmins, with joyful hearts.
दीनानाथजनानां च भोजनं चानिवारितम्
Food is not to be withheld from the poor, the helpless, and those in need.
ज्ञातिबन्धुजनैः सार्द्धं स्वयं भुञ्जीत कामतः
Together with relatives and family members, one may freely partake of the meal as desired.
य एवं कुरुते पार्थ वृक्षाणां महदुत्सवम्
Whoever, O Pārtha, performs the great festival for trees in this manner—
पुत्रैर्विना शुभगतिर्न भवेन्नराणां दुष्पुत्रकैरिति तथोभयलोकनाशः
For men, without sons, there is no auspicious destiny; with wicked sons, indeed, there is destruction in both worlds.
इति श्रीभविष्ये महापुराण उत्तरपर्वणि श्रीकृष्णयुधिष्ठिरसंवादे वृक्षोद्यापनविधिवर्णनं नामाष्टाविंशत्युत्तरशततमोऽ ध्यायः
Thus, in the glorious Bhaviṣya Mahāpurāṇa, in the Uttaraparvan, in the dialogue between Śrī Kṛṣṇa and Yudhiṣṭhira, ends the one hundred and twenty-eighth chapter entitled 'Description of the Ritual for the Consecration of Trees.'
देवपूजाविधिवर्णनम् तेषां मृतेऽथ परमार्थमये शरीरे लोके परिभ्रमति कीर्तिमयं शरीरम्
Description of the method for worshipping the gods.
यः कारयेद्द्वारसिताभ्रगौरमुत्तुंगसौधधवलायतनं सुराणाम्
When their bodies, filled with supreme purpose, pass away, their fame-filled form wanders in the world.
ये कारयंति सुरसद्मसु देवतानामर्चाः सुवर्णरजतायसशैलताम्राः
Those who cause images of the gods to be made in temples, of gold, silver, iron, stone, or copper—
ये मेरुमौलिसुरसंघकृताभिषेकाः पञ्चामृतैः सुरवरानभिषेचयंति
Those who anoint the best of gods, crowned like Meru, with the five nectars, as performed by the hosts of gods—
ये शैलराजमलयोद्भवचंदनेन सत्कुंकुमेन च सुराननुलेपयंति
Those who anoint the faces of the gods with sandalwood from Mount Malaya and with pure saffron—
गंधाढ्यजातिकमलोत्पलदिव्यपुष्पैर्देवान्नवैरनुदिनं ननु येऽर्चयंति
Those who worship the gods daily with fragrant jasmine, lotuses, blue lilies, divine flowers, and offerings of food—
आमोदिभिर्हिमतुरुष्कसुगन्धधूपैर्ये मानवाः सुरवरानपि धूपयंति
Those men who offer incense of delightful, cold-perfumed, and fragrant resins to the best of gods—
दोधूयते कनकदंडविराजितैश्च सच्चामरैर्धवलकुण्डलसुन्दरीभिः
The gods are fanned with spotless whisks adorned with golden handles, by beautiful women with shining earrings.
देदीप्यते दिनकरोज्ज्वलपद्मरागरत्नप्रभाच्छुरितहेममये विमाने
The golden palace shines, bathed in the radiance of jewels the color of lotus and the brilliance of the sun.
यो जागरं सुरवराभिमतो ददाति चैत्रोत्सवादिदिवसेष्वपि तूर्यनादैः 4.129.
Whoever offers a night vigil, pleasing to the best of gods, even on festival days, with the sound of musical instruments—
कुर्वति ये सदुपलेनधातुरागसंमार्जनं सुरवरायतनेऽनुरक्ताः
Those who, with devotion, clean the temple of the best of gods with pure earth and red ochre—
दद्याच्च यः परमभक्तियुतः सुराणां घण्टावितानवरचामरमातपत्रम्
And whoever, with supreme devotion, gives bells, canopies, whisks, and parasols to the gods—
अभ्यर्चयेत्प्रतिवचः कुसुमैर्विचित्रैर्देवाधिदेवपरिसंस्तुतपादपद्मान्
And worships, in turn, the lotus feet of the Lord of gods, praised by all the gods, with various beautiful flowers—

Thus, in the glorious Bhavishya Mahapurana, in the Uttaraparvan, in the dialogue between Shri Krishna and Yudhishthira, this is the one hundred and twenty-ninth chapter, entitled 'Description of the Method of Worshipping the Gods.'
दीपदानविधिवर्णनम् दानेन केन वा लोके प्रोज्ज्वल्त्वं प्रजायते
Description of the method of giving lamps: By what kind of gift in this world does one attain radiance?
अतितेजो महद्दीप्तं दीप्तांशुकिरणोज्ज्वलम्
A brilliance of great splendor, shining with blazing rays, arises.
आगतः स च मे पत्न्या जाम्बवत्या प्रपूजितः
He came, and my wife Jambavati honored him properly.
प्रष्टश्च प्रश्रमेवैतं स चावोचद्यथातथम्
He was questioned with due effort, and he spoke the truth as it was.
यदायदा नृपश्रेष्ठ पुण्यकालः प्रपद्यते
Whenever, O best of kings, an auspicious time arrives,
उत्तरे त्वयने प्राप्ते दक्षिणे विषुवे तथा
When the sun turns northward, or southward, or at the equinox,
सप्तम्यामथ वाष्टम्यां स्नात्वा व्रतपरो नरः घृतकुंभेन दीपेन प्रज्वलंतं प्रदीपकम्
On the seventh or eighth day, after bathing and observing vows, a person should offer a blazing lamp with a pot of ghee.
