नक्षत्रमालासहितं चामरापीडधारिणम्

हैमं विप्राय शांताय स वाग्मी जायते नरः
To a peaceful Brahmin, giving gold, that man becomes eloquent.
द्वादश्यां गुह्यकानां च पललैक्षवसंयुतम्

विष्कम्भादिषु योगेषु एकमुक्तरतो नरः

कर्पूरं कुंकुमं चैव चंदनं कुसुमानि च 4.121.
Camphor, saffron, sandalwood, and flowers.
स्नातः स्वशक्त्या विधिवत्सर्वपापैः प्रमुच्यते
Having bathed, according to one's ability and the prescribed method, one is freed from all sins.
कार्तिक्यां नक्तभुग्दद्यान्मेषं मार्गशिरे वृषम्

क्रमेण राशयः सर्वा वस्त्रमाल्यैर्विभूषिताः

अश्रद्दधानः पापात्मा नास्तिकोऽच्छिन्नसंशयः
The faithless, sinful, atheistic person whose doubts are unbroken—
प्रयागं पुष्करं प्राप्य कुरुक्षेत्रमथापि वा
Having reached Prayāga, Puṣkara, or Kurukṣetra—
त्रिरात्रफलदा नद्यो याः काश्चिदसमुद्रगाः
Certain rivers not flowing to the ocean grant the fruit of three nights.
