वक्षःकुक्षिदृष्टिपृष्ठबाह्वंसांकशिरोरुहान्
The chest, belly, eyes, back, arms, shoulders, and head-hair—
पूजितस्त्वं यथाशक्त्या नमस्तेऽस्तु सुरोत्तम
You have been worshipped to the best of my ability; salutations to you, O best of gods.
एवं क्षमापयित्वा तु देवरूपं विधानतः 4.110.
Thus, having sought forgiveness, the divine form is to be honored according to the ordinance.
स्थित्वा पूर्वमुखो विप्रो गृह्णीयाद्दर्भपाणिना मंत्रेणानेन कौंतेय सोपवासः प्रयत्नतः
Facing east, the brāhmaṇa should take (the offering) with darbha grass in hand, with this mantra, O son of Kunti, with fasting and great care.
इदं व्रतं मया खंडं कृतमासीत्पुरा द्विज
This vow was once broken by me in the past, O twice-born one.
ब्राह्मणोऽपि प्रतीच्छेत्तु मंत्रेणानेन तद्व्रतम् संपूर्णस्य प्रसादेन भव पूर्णमनोरथः
The brāhmaṇa should accept that vow with this mantra; by the favor of its completion, may your wishes be fulfilled.
ब्राह्मणा यत्प्रभाषंते ह्यनुमोदंति देवताः
What the brāhmaṇas declare, the deities indeed approve.
जलधिः क्षारतां नीतः पावकः सर्वभक्षताम्
The ocean was made saline; fire was made to consume all things.
ब्राह्मणानां तु वचनाद्ब्रह्महत्या प्रणश्यति
By the word of the Brāhmaṇas, the sin of killing a Brāhmaṇa is destroyed.
व्यासवाल्मीकिवचनाद्ब्राह्मणवचनाच्च गर्गगौतम पराशरधौम्यांगिरसवाष्ठिनारदादिमुनिवचनात्संपूर्णं भवतु ते व्रतम्
By the words of Vyāsa, Vālmīki, and by the words of Brāhmaṇas, as well as by the words of Garga, Gautama, Parāśara, Dhaumya, Aṅgiras, Vāṣṭhi, Nārada, and other sages, may your vow become complete.
एवंविधविधानेन गृहीत्वा ब्राह्मणो व्रजेत् ततः पंच महायज्ञान्निर्वपेद्भोजनादि च
In this manner, having performed the prescribed rite, the Brāhmaṇa should depart; then he should offer the five great sacrifices and also food and the like.
एवं यः कुरुते भक्त्या व्रतमेतत्सकृत्तथा २९ खंडं संपूर्णतां याति प्रसन्ने व्रतदैवते 4.110.
Whoever performs this vow even once with devotion in this way, when the deity of the vow is pleased, attains the full completion of the section.
भोगी भव्यो लसत्कीर्तिः स्व संपूर्णमनोरथः
He becomes an enjoyer, auspicious, renowned, and all his wishes are fulfilled.
यथेष्टचेष्टाचारी च ब्रह्मविष्ण्विन्द्रपूजितः
He acts as he desires, and is worshipped by Brahmā, Viṣṇu, and Indra.
प्रायश्चित्तमिदं प्रोक्तं पुरा गर्गेण मे प्रभो
This expiation was formerly declared to me by Garga, O Lord.
एवं त्वमपि कौंतेय चर संपूर्णकं व्रतम्
In the same way, you too, O son of Kuntī, should observe the complete vow.
भग्नानि यानि मदमोहवशाद्गृहीत्वा जन्मान्तरेष्वपि नरेण समत्सरेण
Whatever has been broken due to pride and delusion, even if taken up by a man in another birth, should be completed within the year.
इति श्रीभविष्ये महापुराण उत्तरपर्वणि श्रीकृष्णयुधिष्ठिरसंवादे संपूर्णव्रतवर्णनं नाम दशोत्तर शततमोऽध्यायः
Thus, in the Śrī Bhaviṣya Mahāpurāṇa, in the Uttara Parva, in the dialogue between Śrī Kṛṣṇa and Yudhiṣṭhira, the one hundred and tenth chapter named 'Description of the Complete Vow' is concluded.
कामदानवेश्याव्रतवर्णनम् पण्यस्त्रीणां समाचारं श्रोतुमिच्छामि तत्त्वतः
The description of the vow of courtesans and women who grant desires. I wish to hear in detail about the conduct of women who are for hire.
का ह्यासां देवता कृष्ण किं व्रतं किमुपोषितम्
Who is their deity, O Kṛṣṇa? What vow do they observe, and what fast do they undertake?
मम पत्नीसहस्राणि संति पांडव षोडश
I have thousands of wives, O Pāṇḍava, sixteen in number.
ताभिर्वसंतसमये कोकिलालिकुलाकुले निर्भरापानगोष्ठीषु प्रसक्ताभिरलंकृते
With them, in the season of spring, amidst gatherings of cuckoos and bees, in assemblies filled with abundant drink, they are fully adorned and engaged.
कुरंगनयनः श्रीमान्मालतीकृतशेखरः
With eyes like a deer, splendid, with mālatī flowers as a crest ornament.
साक्षात्कंदर्परूपेण सर्वाभरणभूषितः
Appearing in the very form of Kandarpa (Cupid), adorned with all ornaments.
प्रवृद्धो मन्मथस्तासां सर्वाङ्गक्षोभदायकः
Manmatha, greatly aroused, agitates all their limbs.
अशेषे रुषितः सर्वा हरिष्यंतीह दस्यवः
All the robbers here, who are enraged without exception, will be taken away.
एतद्वाक्यमुपश्रुत्य बाष्पर्याकुलेक्षणाः
Hearing these words, their eyes filled with tears.
भर्तारं जगतामीशं भवंतमपरा जितम् 4.111.
They lamented, 'The Lord of the worlds, our husband, has been conquered by another.'
द्वारिकावासिनः सर्वान्देवरूपान्कुमारकान्
All the residents of Dvaraka, the boys with forms like gods,
दासभावमनुप्राप्य भविष्यामः कथं पुनः
How shall we, having attained the state of servants, ever become so again?
