Together with all his attendants, and situated within his inner palace.
At the beginning of the kalpa, on the seventh continent, by those dwelling in Puṣkara.
At that very time, a vehicle was given to him by Brahmā, O King.
By the power of the penance of that serpent, who dwells upon Brahmā’s lotus, even in the three worlds—
She became known by the name Lāvaṇyavatī, who was most dear to Bhava, like Pārvatī herself.
Then, seeing all this with his own eyes, the king was repeatedly struck with wonder.
Why is it that I possess such pure glory, and a wife who is worshipped even by mortals, and who surpasses all the beautiful women of the gods?
Even if a hundred million kings, surrounded by ministers, elephants, men, and horses, were to enter it—
What merit could arise from another birth, from the womb of a woman, that would surpass the dharma and other virtues attained by all beings?
Hearing those words of his, and perceiving everything through meditation—
O king, you were once a hunter, a terror to all living beings.
You were of short stature, with short hair, dark in complexion, and red-eyed.
There was a terrible drought, and at times, out of anger caused by hunger and thirst, you became fierce.
Driven by greed, you plundered the entire city, and at that time, you wandered everywhere, causing great distress.
You sat alone with your wife in the courtyard of your house.
On the twelfth day of the month of Māgha, you completed a journey to Mount Lavaṇa.
You adorned Hṛṣīkeśa, the golden supreme abode.
What use are these lotuses? It is best that Viṣṇu is adorned.
On that occasion, having worshipped Keśava at Mount Lavaṇa—
Then Anaṅgavatī, being pleased, offered three hundred oblations for them.
And again, Anaṅgavatī gave them four kinds of food.
Even that was renounced by both of them, O beautiful-faced one, as food for tomorrow.
From birth, O goddess, we two have been sinful, steadfast in our vow.
Thus, due to their association, they performed the vigil.
The village, with devotion, was offered to the teacher, and twelve to the Brahmins.
Food was shared equally with friends, companions, the poor, the blind, and the destitute.
May you become a hunter, O king, together with your wife.
O hero, you have attained the extremely rare Puṣkara temple.
Just as Virinchi approached Daksha, the lotus-born, according to his desire.
