वृजिनघ्नस्सुतस्तस्माद्राज्यं विंशत्सहस्रकम्
From him was born a son, Vṛjinaghna, who ruled for twenty thousand years.
तस्माच्चित्ररथः पुत्रः कृतं राज्यं पितुस्समम्
From him, Citraratha was born, who ruled the kingdom just as his father had.
अथ श्रवास्ततो जातस्तेजस्वी विष्णुतत्परः
Then from him was born Śravās, radiant and devoted to Vishnu.

By the power of a great wind, the oceans became desiccated.
पञ्चवर्षांतरे भूमिर्वृक्षदूर्वादिसंयुता
After an interval of five years, the earth was covered with trees, sacred grass, and the like.
वशिष्ठेन त्रिवर्णैश्च मुख्यैः सार्द्धं समागतः
He met with Vashishtha and the chief members of the three varnas.
द्वापरनृपोपाख्यानवर्णनम् लोमहर्षण मे ब्रूहि द्वापरस्य नृपांस्तथा

म्लेच्छवंशे श्मश्रुपालो मरुदेशस्य भूपतिः
In the Mleccha lineage, Shmashrupala became the king of the land of Maru.
दशवर्षसहस्राणि संवर्णो भूपतिः स्मृतः
Samvarana is remembered as king for ten thousand years.
तस्य पुत्रः सूरिजापी पितुरर्द्धं च राज्यकृत्
His son Surijapi ruled half of his father's kingdom.
शतहीनं कृतं राज्यं तस्मादातिथ्यवर्धनः
After ruling less than a hundred years, Atithyavardhana was born from him.
