In due course, after a long time, a son was born to them, endowed with great austerity.

He became known in this world as Anagha, the second by name.

Thus, he, together with his wife, engaged in the practice of yoga.
ब्रह्मलब्धप्रसादेन द्रुतं गत्वामरावतीम्
By the grace obtained from Brahma, he swiftly went to Amaravati.
दैत्यदानवसंयोगे पातालादेत्य भारत
O Bharata, at the union of Daityas and Danavas, they came up from the netherworld.
तेन निर्णाशिता देवाः सेंद्रचंद्रमरुद्गणाः
By him, the gods were destroyed, along with Indra, the Moon, and the hosts of Maruts.

शरभैर्गंडकैर्व्याघ्रैर्वानरै रभसैर्द्रुताः
Driven swiftly by fierce Sharabhas, Gandakas, tigers, and monkeys,

They reached Mount Vindhya, that circle of hermitages.
तयोः समीपं संप्राप्तास्ते नराः शरणार्थिनः
Those men, seeking refuge, came near to them.

Then, entering within, remain without anxiety.

Quickly, uproot the trees bearing flowers and fruits.
