એકાત્મજા મે જનની યોષિન્મૂઢા ચ કિઙ્કરી । મય્યાત્મજેઽનન્યગતૌ ચક્રે સ્નેહાનુબંધનમ્

સાસ્વતંત્રા ન કલ્પાસીદ્ યોગક્ષેમં મમેચ્છતી । ઈશસ્ય હિ વશે લોકો યોષા દારુમયી યથા
She would not remain forever free, desiring my welfare; for the world lies under the Lord’s sway, just as a woman is subject to a man.
અહં ચ તદ્બ્રહ્મકુલે ઊષિવાંસ્તદપેક્ષયા । દિગ્દેશકાલાવ્યુત્પન્નો બાલકઃ પઞ્ચહાયનઃ

ચિત્રસ્વનૈઃ પત્રરથૈઃ વિભ્રમદ્ ભ્રમરશ્રિયઃ । નલવેણુશરસ્તમ્બ કુશકીચકગહ્વરમ્
Leaves like colourful chariots and roving bees in abundance, the sound of a flute and stalks, huts of grass, blades of kusa grass and caverns.
એક એવાતિયાતોઽહં અદ્રાક્ષં વિપિનં મહત્ । ઘોરં પ્રતિભયાકારં વ્યાલોલૂકશિવાજિરમ્

Overwhelmed by love, my limbs trembled and collapsed; immersed in a flood of bliss, O sage, I could not perceive any danger.
રૂપં ભગવતો યત્તન્ મનઃકાન્તં શુચાપહમ્ । અપશ્યન્ સહસોત્તસ્થે વૈક્લવ્યાદ્ દુર્મના ઇવ
When I suddenly beheld that auspicious, pure‑removing form of the Lord, my heart sank as if seized by faintness and despair.
દિદૃક્ષુસ્તદહં ભૂયઃ પ્રણિધાય મનો હૃદિ । વીક્ષમાણોઽપિ નાપશ્યં અવિતૃપ્ત ઇવાતુરઃ
Again and again I wished to see it, fixing my heart and mind upon it; though I strove to look, I could not — like one insatiably sick.
એવં યતન્તં વિજને મામાહાગોચરો ગિરામ્ । ગંભીરશ્લક્ષ્ણયા વાચા શુચઃ પ્રશમયન્નિવ
Thus striving, I spoke words beyond hearing: with deep, soft speech as if pacifying the pure‑hearted I uttered it aloud.
હન્તાસ્મિન્ જન્મનિ ભવાન્ મા માં દ્રષ્ટુમિહાર્હતિ । અવિપક્વકષાયાણાં દુર્દર્શોઽહં કુયોગિનામ્
Alas, in this birth you are not fit to behold me; among those of immature temperament I am hard to see, O ascetic.
સકૃદ્ યદ્ દર્શિતં રૂપં એતત્કામાય તેઽનઘ । મત્કામઃ શનકૈઃ સાધુ સર્વાન્ મુઞ્ચતિ હૃચ્છયાન્
Once the form was shown for your sake, faultless one; gradually, as you rightly long for it, the desire for me frees all attachments in the heart.
સત્સેવયાઽદીર્ઘયા તે જાતા મયિ દૃઢા મતિઃ । હિત્વાવદ્યમિમં લોકં ગન્તા મજ્જનતામસિ
By long, faithful service your mind toward me has become firm; having abandoned the impermanent world, go — you are sinking into darkness.
મતિર્મયિ નિબદ્ધેયં ન વિપદ્યેત કર્હિચિત્ । પ્રજાસર્ગનિરોધેઽપિ સ્મૃતિશ્ચ મદનુગ્રહાત્
Bind your mind to me so it never falls into peril; even to prevent the creation of beings, remember me by my grace.
