Śauri bound those bulls with ropes, having broken their pride and strength, and dragged them as easily as a child would drag wooden toys.
Then, delighted and astonished, the king gave his daughter to Kṛṣṇa, and the Lord, in proper form, accepted her as his equal bride.

Hearing of this, the kings whose strength had been broken by the Yadus and the bulls, unable to tolerate it, tried to block the procession as the maiden was being led away.
Arjuna, wielder of Gāṇḍīva, dear friend and protector, scattered their volleys of arrows, felling them like a lion fells small beasts.

He alone carried off Lakṣmaṇā, the daughter of the king of Madra, adorned with auspicious marks, from her svayaṃvara, just as Garuḍa seized nectar.
In this way, thousands of such wives, all of charming appearance, became Kṛṣṇa’s after he slew Bhauma and rescued them from captivity.

With his mace he shattered the mountains, with arrows the weapon fortresses; with the discus he overcame fire, water, wind, and with his sword the bonds of Mura.

Headless, his life departed, Mura fell into the water, like a mountain with its peak cut off by Indra's power; his seven sons, enraged by their father's death, rose up, intent on retaliation.
