Of the five beginning with the Fish, the worship is either for desire or both; for the Boar, the Man-Lion, and the Dwarf, it is for liberation.
Now hear about the worship of the three beginning with the Disc at the śālagrāma stone: the highest worship is fruitless, the lowest yields results.
The middle worship is image worship, performed on the disc, the lotus, and the square; placing the praṇava in the heart and the six limbs on the hands and body.
Having made the three gestures outside the disc, one should first worship the teacher; in the east, the group for Vāyu, and the creator in the southwest.
One should worship the arranger and the doer, the remover in the south and northwest; Viṣvaksena in the northeast, and the field-guardian in the southeast.
The Ṛg and other Vedas are placed in the east at the beginning, the earth up to Ananta as the base; the seat, the lotus, and the three circles called Arka, Vandra, and Vahvya.
On a twelve-spoked seat, one should place the stone there and worship; separately and together, one should worship with one's own seed-mantra, in order.

Show the gestures for Viṣvaksena, the disc, and the field-guardian; the first worship of the śālagrāma is said to be fruitless.
As before, draw a sixteen-spoked circle with a lotus; worship the teacher and others first with conch, disc, mace, and sword.
In the east and northeast, assign bow and arrows, and the seat with the Vedas and others; place the stone with twelve spokes—now hear the third worship.
Draw an eight-spoked lotus, worship the teacher and others as before; having given the seat with eight spokes, place the stone in the same way.
With that, worship in ten ways, and likewise with the Gāyatrī and Jitā.
