स्वस्तिकादि विचित्रञ्च सर्व्वकामपदं गुह । पञ्चाब्जं पञ्चहस्तं स्यात् समन्ताद्दशभाजितम् ।। ३२०.
A svastika and other varied forms, and the Sarvakāmapada, O Guha, should be made; the five-lotus design should measure five hands, divided into ten equal parts all around.
द्विपदं कमलं वीथी पट्टिका दिक्षु पङ्कजम् । चतुष्कं पृष्ठतो वीथी पदिका द्विपदान्यथा ।। ३२०.
A two-petaled lotus is the avenue, bordered by strips, and in the directions, lotuses; at the back, a fourfold avenue, and elsewhere, two-petaled paths.
कण्ठोपकण्ठयुक्तानि द्वारान्यब्जन्तु मध्यतः । पञ्चाब्जमण्डले ह्यस्मिन् सितं पीतञ्च पूर्व्वकम् ।। ३२०.
The doors, equipped with neck and sub-neck features, and lotuses in the center; in this five-lotus circle, the eastern one is white and yellow.
वैदूर्य्याभं दक्षिणाब्जं कुन्दाभं वारुणं कजम् । उत्तराब्जन्तु शङ्गाभमन्यत् सर्व्वं विचित्रकम् ।। ३२०.
The southern lotus resembles beryl, the western one is like jasmine, the northern lotus is like a conch; the rest are made in various forms.
सर्व्वकामप्रदं वक्ष्ये दशहस्तन्तु मण्डलम् । विकारक्तन्तुर्य्याश्रं द्वारन्तु द्विपदं भवेत् ।। ३२०.
I shall describe the circle that grants all desires, measuring ten hands; the avenue should be fourfold, and the door should be two-petaled.
मध्ये पद्मं पूर्व्ववच्च विघ्नध्वंसं वदाम्यथ । चतुर्हस्तं पुरं कृत्वा वृतञ्चैव करद्वयम् ।। ३२०.
In the center, a lotus as before, and now I speak of the remover of obstacles; a city of four hands should be made, surrounded by two hands.
वीथिका हस्तमात्रन्तु स्वस्तिकैर्वहुभिर्वृता । हस्तमात्राणि द्वाराणि दिशु वृत्तं सपद्मकम् ।। ३२०.
The avenue should be a hand’s breadth, adorned with many svastikas; the doors, each a hand’s breadth, are circular with lotuses in the directions.
पद्मानि पञ्च शुक्लानि मध्ये पूज्यश्च निष्कलः । हृदयादीनि पूर्व्वादौ विकदिक्ष्वस्त्राणि वै यजेत् ।। ३२०.
Five white lotuses are placed, and in the center, the formless one is to be worshipped; beginning from the east, the heart and other weapons are to be offered in the intermediate directions.
प्राग्वच्च पञ्च ब्रह्माणि बुद्ध्याधारमतो वदे . शतभागो तिथिभागे पद्मं लिङ्गाष्टकं दिशि ।। ३२०.
As before, five Brahmās are to be established with intelligence as the base; in the hundredth part of the lunar day, a lotus and eight liṅgas are to be placed in the directions.
मे खलाभागसंयुक्तं कण्ठं द्विपदिकं भवेत् । आचार्य्यो बुद्धिमाश्रित्य कल्पयेच्च लतादिकम् ।। ३२०.
With the measure of the neck and sub-neck, the door should be two-petaled; the teacher, relying on wisdom, should design the creeper and other features.
चतुःपट्पञ्चमाष्टादि खाछिशाद्यादि मण्डलम् । खाक्षीन्दुसूर्य्यगं सर्वं खाक्षि चैवेन्दुवर्णनात् ।। ३२०.
The circle is made with four, five, eight, and so on, beginning with kha and śi; all are associated with kha, the moon, and the sun, and kha and akṣi are described by the moon’s color.
चत्वारिंशदधिकानि चतुर्द्दशसतानि हि । मण्डलानि हरेःशम्भोर्देव्याः सूर्य्यस्य सन्ति च ।। ३२०.
There are one thousand four hundred and forty circles belonging to Hari, Śambhu, the Goddess, and the Sun.
दशसप्तविभक्ते तु लतालिङ्गोद्भवं श्रृणु । दिक्षु पञ्चत्रयञ्चैकं त्रयं पञ्च च लोमयेत् ।। ३२०.
Now hear of the origin of the creeper and liṅga in the ten and seven divisions; in the directions, five sets of three and one set of three and five are to be arranged.
ऊद्र्ध्वगो द्विपदे लिङ्गमन्दिरं पार्श्वकोष्ठयोः । मध्येन द्विपदं पद्ममथ चैकञ्च पङ्कजं ।। ३२०.
Above, in the two-petaled area, is the liṅga-temple, with side chambers; in the middle, a two-petaled lotus, and then a single lotus.
लिङ्गस्य पार्श्वयोर्भद्रेपदद्वारमलोपनात् । तत्पार्श्वशोभाः षड्लोप्य लताः शेषास्तथा हरेः ।। ३२०.
On either side of the liṅga, because of the absence of the auspicious double doors, six creepers are omitted for symmetry, and the rest belong to Hari.
ऊद्र्ध्वं द्विपदिकं लोप्य हरेर्भद्राष्टकं स्मृतम् . रश्मिमानसमायुक्तवेदलोपाच्च शोभिकम् ।। ३२०.
Above, the two-petaled area is omitted, and the eight auspicious forms of Hari are remembered; with the omission of the rays and mind, the beautiful form is established.
पञ्चविंशतिकं पद्मं ततः पीठमपीठकम् । द्वयं द्वयं रक्षयित्वा उपशोभास्तथाष्ट च ।। ३२०.
A lotus of twenty-five petals, then a pedestal and a sub-pedestal; two by two are to be protected, and likewise, eight subsidiary adornments.
देव्यादिख्यापकं भद्रं बृहन्मध्ये परं लघु । मध्ये नवपदं पद्मं कोणे भद्रचतुष्टयम् ।। ३२०.
The auspicious form indicating the Goddess and others is great in the middle and subtle at the end; in the center, a nine-petaled lotus, and in the corners, four auspicious forms.
त्रयोदशपदं शेषं बुद्ध्याधारन्तु मण्हलं । शतपत्रं षष्ट्यधिकं बुद्ध्याधारं हरादिषु ।। ३२०.
The remaining thirteen steps are the foundation of intellect, and the maṇḍala; the hundred-petaled one, with sixty more, is the foundation of intellect among the deities beginning with Hari.
ईश्वर उवाच अस्त्रयागः पुरा कार्य्यः सर्वकर्म्मसु सिद्धिदः । मध्ये पूज्यं शिवाद्यस्त्रं वज्रादीन् पूर्वतः क्रमात् ।। ३२१.
Īśvara said: The offering of weapons must be performed beforehand; it grants success in all rites. In the middle, worship the weapon of Śiva and others; the vajra and so on are to be honored in order, starting from the east.
पञ्चचक्रं दश करं रणादौ पूजितं जये । ग्रहपूजा रविर्मध्ये पूर्व्वाद्याः सोमकादयः ।। ३२१.
The five circles, with ten hands, are worshipped at the start of battle for victory. In the worship of planets, the Sun is in the center, and the others, beginning with the Moon, are placed from the east onward.
सर्व्व एकादशस्थास्तु ग्रहाः स्युः ग्रहपूजनात् । अस्त्रशान्तिं प्रवक्ष्यामि सर्वोत्पातविनाशिनीं ।। ३२१.
All the planets should be placed in eleven positions during planetary worship. I will now explain the pacification of weapons, which destroys all calamities.
ग्रहरोगादिशमनीं मारीशत्रुविमर्द्दनीं । विनायकोपतप्तिघ्नमघोरास्त्रं जपेन्नरः ।। ३२१.
It pacifies planetary afflictions and diseases, crushes demons and enemies; one should recite the Aghora weapon to dispel the heat of Vināyaka's anger.
लक्षं ग्रहादिनाशः स्यादुत्पाते तिलहोमकम् । दिव्ये लक्षं तदर्द्धेन व्योमजोत्पातनाशनं ।। ३२१.
With one hundred thousand recitations, planetary and other afflictions are destroyed; in calamities, offer sesame oblations. For celestial calamities, half that number suffices to destroy disturbances from the sky.
घृतेन लक्षपातेन उत्पाते भूमिजे हितम् । घृतगुग्गुलुहोमे च सर्व्वोत्पातादिमर्द्दनम् ।। ३२१.
With one hundred thousand oblations of ghee, it is beneficial for calamities arising from the earth. By offering ghee mixed with guggulu, all calamities and the like are subdued.
दूर्वाक्षताज्यहोमेन व्याधयोऽथ घृतेन च । सहस्रेण तु दुःस्वप्ना विनश्यन्ति न संशयः ।। ३२१.
By offering dūrvā grass, rice, and ghee, diseases are pacified; with a thousand oblations of ghee, bad dreams are certainly destroyed.
अयुताद् ग्रहदोषघ्नो जवाघृतविमिश्रितात् । विनायकार्त्तिशमनमयुतेन घृतस्य च ।। ३२१.
With ten thousand oblations of ghee mixed with javā flowers, planetary faults are destroyed; with ten thousand oblations of ghee, Vināyaka's afflictions are pacified.
भूतवेतालशान्तिस्तु गुग्गुलोरयुतेन च । महावृक्षस्य भङ्गे तु व्यालकङ्के गृहे स्थिते ।। ३२१.
The pacification of spirits and vetālas is achieved with ten thousand oblations of guggulu; when a great tree is broken or a serpent's mark appears in the house.
आरण्यानां प्रवेशे च दूर्वाज्याक्षतहावनात् । उल्कापाते भूमिकम्पे तिलाज्येनाहुताच्छिवम् ।। ३२१.
Upon entering forests, offer dūrvā grass, rice, and ghee; when a meteor falls or the earth quakes, offer sesame and ghee oblations to Śiva.
रक्तस्रावे तु वृक्षाणामयुताद् गुग्गुलोः शिवं । अकाले फलपुष्पणां राष्ट्रभङ्गे च मारणे ।। ३२१.
When trees bleed, ten thousand oblations of guggulu bring auspiciousness; when fruits and flowers appear out of season, or in the destruction of a kingdom, or in death.
