अकारादेः क्षकारश्च ककारादेः क्रमादिमे । कामदेवः शिखण्डी च गणेशः कालशङ्करौ ।। ३१७.
From the letter 'a' comes 'kṣa', and from 'ka' comes these in order: Kāmadeva, Śikhaṇḍī, Gaṇeśa, Kāla, and Śaṅkara.
एकनेत्रो द्विनेत्रश्च त्रिशिखो दीर्घबाहुकः । एकपादर्द्धचन्द्रश्च वलपो योगिनीप्रियः ।। ३१७.
One-eyed, two-eyed, three-crested, long-armed, one-footed, half-mooned, Valapa, beloved of Yoginīs—
शक्तीश्वरो महाग्रन्धिस्तर्पकः स्थाणुदन्तुरौ । निधीरो नन्दी पद्मश्च तथान्यः शाकिनीप्रियः ।। ३१७.
Lord of Śakti, great knot, Tarpaka, Sthāṇu, Dantura, steadfast, Nandī, Padma, and another, beloved of Śākinī—
मुखविम्वो भीषणश्च कृतान्तः प्राणसंज्ञकः । तेजस्वी शक्र उदधिः श्रीकण्ठः सिंह एव च ।। ३१७.
With a prominent mouth, fearsome, Kṛtānta, called Prāṇa, radiant, Śakra, ocean, Śrīkaṇṭha, and lion as well—
शशङ्गो विश्वरूपश्च क्षश्च स्यान्नरसिहकः । सुर्य्यमात्रासमाक्रान्तं विश्वरूपन्तु कारयेत् ।। ३१८.
Marked by the moon, of universal form, 'kṣa' also, and Nara-siṃha; having been seized by the measure of the sun, one should create the universal form.
अंशुमत्संयुतं कृत्वा शशिवीजं विनायुतम् । ईशानमोजसाक्रान्तं प्रथमन्तु समुद्धरेत् ।। ३१८.
Having made it joined with Aṃśumat, without the seed of the moon, seized by the power of Īśāna, one should first raise it.
. तृतीयं पुरुषं विद्धि दक्षिणं पञ्चमं तथा । सप्तमं वामदेवन्तु सद्योजातन्ततः परं ।। ३१८.
Know the third as Puruṣa, the fifth as Dakṣiṇa, the seventh as Vāmadeva, and after that, Sadyojāta.
रसयुक्तन्तु नवमं ब्रह्मपञ्चकमीरितम् । ओंकाराद्याश्चतुर्थ्यन्ता नमोन्ताः सर्व्वमन्त्रकाः ।। ३१८.
The ninth, joined with rasa, is called the Brahma-pañcaka; all mantras begin with Oṃ and end with namas, up to the fourth.
सद्योदेवा द्वितीयन्तु हृदयञ्चाङ्गसंयुतम् । चतुर्थन्तु शिरो विद्धि ईश्वरन्नामनामतः ।। ३१८.
The second is Sadyo-deva, the heart joined with the limbs; the fourth is the head, know it as Īśvara by name.
ऊहकन्तु शिखा ज्ञेया विश्वरूपसमन्विता । तन्मन्त्रमष्टमं ख्यातं नेत्रन्तु दशमं मतम् ।। ३१८.
Ūhaka is to be known as the crest, joined with the universal form; that mantra is called the eighth, the eye is considered the tenth.
अस्त्रं शशी समाख्यातं शिवसंज्ञं शिखिध्वजः । नमः स्वाहा तथा वौषट् ह्रँ च फट्कक्रमेण तु ।। ३१८.
The weapon is named as the moon, Śiva is called Śikhidhvaja; namas, svāhā, vauṣaṭ, hraṃ, and phaṭ in order.
जातिफट्कं हृदादीनां प्रासादं मन्त्रमावदे । ईशानाद्रुद्रसंख्यातं प्रोद्धरेच्चांशुरञ्चितम् ।। ३१८.
The jāti-phaṭ for heart and others, the palace mantra up to the end; from Īśāna and Rudra, counted, one should raise it, adorned with rays.
औषधाक्रान्तशिरसमूहकस्योपरिस्थितं । अर्द्धचन्द्रोर्द्धनादश्च विन्दुद्वितयमध्यगं ।। ३१८.
Above the crest of Ūhaka, seized by Auṣadha, the half-moon above, and in the middle of the two dots.
तदन्ते विश्वरूपन्तु कृटिलन्तु त्रिधा ततः । एवं प्रासादमन्त्रश्च सर्व्वकर्म्मकरो मनुः ।। ३१८.
At the end of that, the universal form, then the trident, threefold; thus the palace mantra is the mantra for all actions.
शिखाबीजं समुद्धृत्य फट्कारान्तन्तु चैव फट् । अर्द्धचन्द्रासनं ज्ञेयं कामदेवं ससर्पकम् ।। ३१८.
Having raised the seed of the crest, ending with phaṭ, and also phaṭ; the seat of the half-moon is to be known, Kāmadeva with the serpent.
महापाशुपतास्त्रन्तु सर्व्वदुष्टप्रमर्द्दनम् । प्रासादः सकलः प्रोक्तो निष्कलः प्रोच्यते ऽधुना ।। ३१८.
The great Pāśupata weapon, which crushes all evil; the palace is said to be with all parts, now the partless is described.
औषधं विश्वरूपन्तु रुद्राख्यं सूर्य्यमण्डलम् । चन्द्रार्द्धं नादसंयोगं विसंज्ञं कुटिलन्ततः ।। ३१८.
The universal form of medicine is called Rudra, the solar orb; the half-moon, the union with sound, the formless, and the curved end.
निष्कलोभुक्तिमुक्तौ स्यात्पञ्चाङ्गोऽयं सदाशिवः । अंशुमान् विस्वरुपञ्च आवृतं शून्यरञ्जितम् ।। ३१८.
This fivefold Sadashiva is ever present in the state of non-duality, enjoyment, and liberation: radiant, of universal form, enveloped, tinged with emptiness.
ब्रह्माङ्गरहितः शून्यस्तस्य मूर्त्तिरसस्तरुः । विघ्ननाशाय भवति पूजितो बालबालिसैः ।। ३१८.
Devoid of the limb of Brahma, empty, his form is without a trunk; worshipped by boys and girls, he becomes the remover of obstacles.
अंशुमान् विश्वरूपाख्यमूहकस्योपरि स्थितम् । कलाढ्यं सकलस्यैव पूजाङ्गादि च सर्व्वतः ।। ३१८.
Radiant, of universal form, he is established above the subtle; endowed with arts, he is the entirety, and the limbs of worship are everywhere.
नरसिंहं कृतान्तस्थं तेजस्विग्राणमूर्द्धगम् । अंशुमानूहकाक्रान्तमधोर्द्धं स्वसलङ्घृतम् ।। ३१८.
Narasimha, situated at the end of time, with radiant nostrils and head raised, radiant, pervading the subtle, below and above, adorned with his own marks.
चन्द्रार्द्धनादनादानतं ब्रह्मविष्णुविभूषितम् । उदधिं नरसिंहञ्च सूर्य्यमात्राविभेदितम् ।। ३१८.
With half-moon and sound, bowed by sound, adorned by Brahma and Vishnu; the ocean and Narasimha are not different from the sun.
यदा कृतं तदा तस्य ब्रह्माण्यङ्गानि पूर्व्ववत् । ओजाख्यमंशुमद्युक्तं प्रथमं वर्णमुद्धरेत् ।। ३१८.
When it is made, then its Brahma-limbs are as before; the first syllable to be taken is the radiant one, endowed with vigor.
अंशुमच्चांशुनाक्रान्तंक द्वितीयं वर्णनायकम् । अंशुमानीश्चरन्तद्वत् तृतीयं मुक्तिदायकम् ।। ३१८.
The second principal syllable is radiant, pervaded by rays; the third, moving like the radiant lord, is the giver of liberation.
ऊहकञ्चांशुनाक्रान्तं वरुणप्राणतैजसम् । पद्ममिन्दुसमाक्रान्तं नन्दीशमेकपादधृक् ।। ३१८.
The subtle, pervaded by rays, is the vital energy of Varuna; the lotus, pervaded by the moon, is Nandīśa, the one-footed supporter.
अंशुमानुदकप्राणः सप्तमं वर्णमुद्धृतम् । अस्यार्द्धं तृतीयञ्चैव पञ्चमं सप्तमं तथा ।। ३१८.
The radiant one, with the vital energy of water, is taken as the seventh syllable; its half, the third, the fifth, and likewise the seventh.
प्रथमञ्चान्ततो योज्यं क्षपणं दशवीजकम् । अस्यार्द्धंतृतीयञ्चैव पञ्चैमं सप्तमं तथा ।। ३१८.
The first and last are to be joined, the remover, the ten-seeded; its half, the third, the fifth, and likewise the seventh.
सद्योजातन्तु नवमं द्वितीयाद्धृदयादिकम् । दशार्णप्रणवं यत्तु फडन्तञ्चास्त्रमुद्धरेत् ।। ३१८.
Sadyōjāta is the ninth, from the second is the heart and so on; the tenfold praṇava, and at the end 'phaṭ' is to be taken as the weapon.
नमस्कारयुतान्यत्र ब्रह्माङ्गानि तु नान्यथा । द्वितीयादष्टमं यावदष्टौ विद्येश्वरा मताः ।। ३१८.
Here, the Brahma-limbs are always accompanied by salutations, not otherwise; from the second to the eighth, eight Vidyeśvaras are considered.
अनन्तेशश्च सूक्षमश्च तृतीयश्च शिवोत्तमः । एकमूर्त्त्येकरूपस्तु त्रिमूर्त्तिरपस्तथा ।। ३१८.
Ananteśa and Sūkṣma, the third is Śivottama; the one with one form, the one with one body, and likewise the three-formed, the water-lord.
