जनार्द्दनञ्च कुब्जाम्रे मथुरायाञ्च केशवम् । कुब्जाम्रके हृषीकेशं गङ्गाद्वारे जटाधरम् ।। ३०५.
Janārdana at Kubjāmra, Keśava at Mathurā; Hṛṣīkeśa at Kubjāmra, and the matted-haired one at Gaṅgādvāra.
शालग्रामे महायोगं हरिं गोवर्द्धनाचले । पिण्डारके चतुर्ब्बाहुं शङ्खोद्धारे च शङ्खिनम् ।। ३०५.
At Śālagrāma, the great yogi Hari; on Govardhana mountain; the four-armed one at Piṇḍāraka, and the conch-holder at Śaṅkhoddhāra.
वामनञ्च कुरुक्षेत्रे यमुनायां त्रिविक्रमम् । विश्वेश्वरं तथा शोणे कपिलं पूर्व्वसागरे ।। ३०५.
Vāmana at Kurukṣetra, Trivikrama on the Yamunā; Viśveśvara on the Śoṇa, and Kapila at the eastern ocean.
विष्णुं महोदधौ विद्याद्गङ्गासागरसङ्गमे । वनमालञ्च किष्किन्ध्यां देवं रैवतकं विदुः ।। ३०५.
Know Viṣṇu in the great ocean, at the confluence of the Gaṅgā and the sea; Vanamāla at Kiṣkindhā, and the god at Raivataka.
काशीतटे महायोगं विरजायां रिपुञ्जयम् । विशाखयूपे ह्यजितन्नेपाले लोकभावनम् ।। ३०५.
The great yogi on the banks of Kāśī, the conqueror of foes at Virajā; at Viśākhayūpa, the unconquered one; in Nepal, the creator of the worlds.
द्वारकायां विद्धि कृष्णं मन्दरे मधुसूदनम् । लोकाकुले रिपुहरं शालग्रामे हरिं स्मरेत् ।। ३०५.
Know Kṛṣṇa at Dvārakā, Madhusūdana at Mandara; in the tumult of the world, the remover of enemies; at Śālagrāma, remember Hari.
पुरुषं पूरुषवटे विमले च जगत्प्रभुं । अनन्तं सैन्धवारण्ये दण्डके शार्ङ्गधारिणम् ।। ३०५.
The Supreme Person at Pūruṣavaṭa, the Lord of the universe at Vimala; Ananta in the Sindhu forest, and the wielder of the Śārṅga bow in Daṇḍaka.
उत्पलावर्त्तके शौरिं नर्म्मदायां श्रियः पतिं । दामोदरं रैवतके नन्दायां जलशायिनं ।। ३०५.
Śauri at Utpalāvartaka, the Lord of Śrī at the Narmadā; Dāmodara at Raivataka, and the one who lies in the waters at the Nandā.
गोपीश्वरञ्च सिन्ध्वव्धौ माहेन्द्रे चाच्युतं विदुः । सह्याद्रौ देवदेवेशं वैकुण्ठं मागधे वने ।। ३०५.
The lord of the gopīs at the mouth of the Sindhu, Acyuta at Māhendra; the Lord of gods on the Sahya mountain, and Vaikuṇṭha in the Magadha forest.
सर्व्वपापहरं विन्ध्ये औड्रे तु पुरुषोत्तमम् । आत्मानं हृदये विद्धि जपतां भुक्तिमुक्तिदम् ।। ३०५.
The remover of all sins at Vindhya, the Supreme Person in Auḍra; know the Self in the heart, the giver of enjoyment and liberation to those who recite.
वटे वटे वैश्रवणं चत्वरे चत्वरे शिवम् । पर्व्वते पर्व्वते रामं सर्व्वत्र मधुसूदनं ।। ३०५.
Vaiśravaṇa at every banyan tree, Śiva at every crossroads; Rāma on every mountain, and Madhusūdana everywhere.
नरं भूमौ तथा व्योम्नि वशिष्ठे गरुड़ध्वजम् । वासुदेवञ्च सर्व्वत्र संस्मरन् भुक्तिमुक्तिभाक् ।। ३०५.
Nara on earth, and in the sky Vaśiṣṭha, the one with Garuḍa as his banner; remembering Vāsudeva everywhere, one attains enjoyment and liberation.
नामान्येतानि विष्णोश्च जप्त्वा सर्वमवाप्नुयात् । क्षेत्रेष्वेतेषु यत् श्राद्धं दानं जप्यञ्च तर्पणम् ।। ३०५.
By reciting these names of Viṣṇu, one attains all; whatever śrāddha, gift, recitation, or offering is performed at these sacred places—
तत्सर्व्वं कोटिगुणितं मृतो ब्रह्ममयो भवेत् । यः पठेत् श्रृणुयाद्वापि निर्म्मलः स्वर्गमाप्नुयात् ।। ३०५.
All that becomes a million times greater, and one who dies becomes identified with Brahman; whoever recites or hears this, pure, attains heaven.
अग्निरुवाच स्तम्भो विद्वेषणोच्चाट उत्सादो भ्रममारणे । व्याधिश्चोति स्मृतं क्षुद्रं तन्मोक्षो वक्ष्यते श्रृणु ।। ३०६.
Agni said: Stambha, dispersal of enmity, expulsion, destruction, bewilderment, and killing; disease is also called minor—now I will tell you its remedy, listen.
ओं नमो बगवते उन्मत्तरुद्राय भ्रम भ्रामय अमुकं वित्रासय उद्रभ्रामय रौद्रेण रूपेण हूँ फट् ठ । श्मशाने निशि जप्तेन त्रिलक्षं मधुना हुनेत् । चिताग्नौ धूर्त्तसमिद्भिर्भ्राम्यते सततं रिपुः ।। ३०६.
Om, obeisance to the blessed Unmatta-Rudra! Cause confusion, bewilder amuka, terrify, drive him mad, with your fierce form—hūṃ phaṭ ṭha! Recite this at night in the cremation ground three hundred thousand times, offering honey in the funeral fire with deceitful fuel; the enemy is always driven mad.
हेमगैरिकया कृष्णा प्रतिमा हैमसूचिभिः । जप्त्वा विध्येच्च तत्कण्ठे हृदि वा म्रियते रिपुः ।। ३०६.
A black image made of gold and ochre, adorned with golden needles—after reciting the mantra, one should tie it on the neck or heart of the enemy; the enemy dies.
खरबालचिताभस्म ब्हह्मदण्डी च मर्कटी । गृहे वा मूर्ध्नि तच्चूर्णं जप्तमुत्सादकृत् क्षिपेत् ।। ३०६.
Ash from a donkey's mane, a Brahmadanda, and a monkey—after reciting the mantra, the powder should be thrown on the house or head; it brings destruction.
भृग्वाकाशौ सदीप्ताग्निर्भृगुर्वह्निश्च विचक्राय शिवः । एवं सहस्रारे हूं फट् आचक्राय स्वाहा हृदयं विचक्राय शिवः । शिखाचक्रायाथ कवचं विचक्रायाथ नेत्रकम् ।। ३०६.
Bhṛgu and Ākāśa, with blazing fire, Bhṛgu and Agni, Śiva moves; thus, in the thousand-petaled lotus, 'hūṃ phaṭ', he moves in the heart, Śiva moves; then, in the crest-wheel, the armor is established, then the eye.
सञ्चक्रायास्त्रमुदिष्टं ज्यालाचक्राय पूर्ववत् । शार्ङ्ग सुदर्शनं क्षुद्रग्रहहृत् सर्व्वसाधनम् ।। ३०६.
The missile is established in the missile-wheel as before; Śārṅga and Sudarśana remove minor afflictions and accomplish all aims.
मूर्द्धाक्षिमुखहृद्गुह्यपादे ह्यस्याक्षरान्न्यसेत् । चक्राब्जासनमग्न्याभं दंष्ट्रिणञ्च चतुर्भुजम् ।। ३०६.
One should place the syllables on the head, eyes, mouth, heart, secret parts, and feet; the lotus-seat of the wheel, resembling fire, with fangs and four arms.
शङ्कचक्रगदापद्मशलाकाङ्कुशपाणिनम् । चापिनं पिङ्गकेशाक्षमरव्याप्तत्रिपिष्टपं ।। ३०६.
Holding conch, discus, mace, lotus, rod, goad in his hands; bearing a bow, with tawny hair and eyes, pervading the sun, abiding in the three worlds.
नाभिस्तेनाग्निना विद्धा नश्यन्ते व्याधयो ग्रहाः । पीतञ्चक्रं गदा रक्ताः स्वाराः श्याममवान्तरं ।। ३०६.
By piercing the navel with that fire, diseases and afflictions are destroyed; the yellow wheel, the mace is red, the spokes are black, the inner part is dark.
नेमिः श्वेता वहिः कृष्णवर्णरेखा च पार्थिवी । मध्येतरेमरे वर्णानेवं चक्रद्वयं१ लिखेत् ।। ३०६.
The rim is white, the outer part is black, the lines are earthen; in the middle, the colors are as described—thus, one should draw the two wheels.
आदावानीय कुम्भोदं गोचरे सन्निधाय च । दत्त्वा सुदर्शनं तत्र याम्ये चक्रे हुनेत् क्रमात् ।। ३०६.
First, bringing pure water and placing it within reach, having offered Sudarśana there, one should perform the oblation in the southern wheel in order.
आज्यापामार्गसमिधो ह्यक्षतं तिलसर्षणौ । पायसं गव्यमाज्यञ्च सहस्राष्टकसंख्यया ।। ३०६.
With clarified butter, apāmārga sticks, unbroken rice, sesame, and mustard seeds; milk-rice, cow's ghee, all in the number of a thousand and eight.
हुतशेषं क्षिपेत् कुम्भे प्रतिद्रव्यं विधानवित् । प्रस्थानेन कृतं पिण्डं कुम्भे तस्मिन्निवेशयेत् ।। ३०६.
The remainder of the oblation should be placed in the pot, along with the prescribed substances; the ball made with a prastha measure should be deposited in that pot.
विष्णवादि सर्वं तत्रैव न्यसेत् तत्रैव दक्षिणे । नमो विष्णुजनेभ्यः सर्वशान्तिकरेभ्यः प्रतिगृह्णन्तु शान्तये नमः ३०६.
All for Viṣṇu and others should be placed there, on the right side; 'Salutation to the people of Viṣṇu, to all who bring peace, may they accept this for peace—salutation.'
फलके कल्पिते पात्रे पलाशं क्षीरशाखिनः । गव्यपूर्णे निवेश्यैव दिक्ष्वेव होमयेद् द्विजः ।। ३०६.
On a prepared board or vessel, place a palāśa leaf from a milky tree; having filled it with cow's milk, the twice-born should offer oblations in the directions.
सदक्षिणमिदं होमद्वयं भूतादिनाशनम् । गव्याक्तपत्रलिखितैर्निष्पर्णैः क्षुद्रमुद्धृतम् ।। ३०६.
This double offering with proper gifts destroys spirits and the like; with leaves written in cow's ghee, without leaves, the minor affliction is removed.
