सावित्रश्चैव सविता जयेन्द्रौ नैर्ऋतेऽम्बुधौ । रुद्रव्याधी च वायव्ये पूर्व्वादौ कोणगाद्वहिः ।। २४७.
Sāvitra and Savitṛ are in the southwest, Jayendra in the northwest, Rudra and Vyādhi in the northwest, and at the eastern entrance, Koṇaga and Vahi.
महेन्द्रश्च रविः सत्यो भृशः पूर्व्वेऽथ दक्षिणे। गृहक्षतोऽर्यमधृती गन्धर्वाश्चाथ वारुणे ।। २४७.
Mahendra, Ravi, Satya, and Bhṛśa are in the east and south; Gṛhakṣata, Aryaman, Dhṛti, Gandharvas, and Varuṇa are in the west.
पुष्पदन्तोऽसुराश्चैव वरुणो यक्ष एव च । सौमेये भल्लाटसोमौ च अदितिर्धनदस्तथा ।। २४७.
Puṣpadanta, Asuras, Varuṇa, and Yakṣa are there; in the northeast are Bhallāṭa and Soma, Aditi, and Dhanada.
नागः करग्रहश्चैशे अष्टौ दिशि दिशि स्मृताः । आदायन्तौ तु तयोर्देवौ प्रोक्तावत्र गृहेश्वरौ ।। २४७.
Nāga and Karagraha are in the northeast; these eight are remembered in each direction, and the two deities placed there are called the lords of the house.
. पर्ज्यन्यः प्रथमो देवो द्वितीयश्च करग्रहः । महेन्द्ररविसत्याश्च भृशोऽथ गगन्न्तथा ।। २४७.
Parjanya is the first deity, the second is Karagraha; Mahendra, Ravi, Satya, Bhṛśa, and Gagan are also present.
रोगो मुख्यश्च वायव्ये दक्षिणे पुष्पवित्तदौ । गृहक्षतो यसभृशौ गन्धर्वो नागपैतृकः ।। २४७.
Roga is principal in the northwest, in the south are Puṣpa and Vittada; Gṛhakṣata, Yasa, Bhṛśa, Gandharva, Nāga, and Paitṛka are also present.
आप्ये दौवारिकसुग्रीवौ पुष्पदन्तोऽसुरो जलं । यक्ष्मा रोगश्च शोषश्च उत्तरे नागराजकः । २४७.
In the northeast are Dauvārika, Sugrīva, Puṣpadanta the asura, water, yakṣmā, disease, and dryness; in the north is Nāgarājaka.
मुख्यो भल्लाटशशिनौ अदितिश्च कुवेरकः । नागो हुताशः श्रेष्ठो वै शक्रसूर्य्यौ च पूर्वतः ।। २४७.
Foremost are Bhallāṭa, Śaśin, Aditi, and Kuvera; Nāga and Hutāśa are excellent, and Śakra and Sūrya are in the east.
दक्षे गृहक्षतः पुष्प आप्ये सुग्रीव उत्तमः । पुष्पदन्तो ह्युदग्द्वारि भल्लाटः पुष्पदन्तकः ।। २४७.
In the south is Gṛhakṣata, Puṣpa; in the northeast, Sugrīva is supreme; Puṣpadanta is at the northern gate, Bhallāṭa is Puṣpadantaka.
शिलेष्टकादिविन्यासं मन्त्रैः प्रार्च्य सुरांश्चरेत् । नन्दे नन्दय वासिष्ठे वसुभिः प्रजया सह ।। २४७.
Having worshipped the arrangement of stones and bricks with mantras, one should perform the rites for the gods; in Nanda, Nandaya, and Vāsiṣṭha, with the Vasus and offspring together.
जये फार्गवदायादे प्रजानाञ्चयमावह । पूर्णेऽङ्गिरसदायादे पूर्णकामं कुरुष्व मां ।। २४७.
In victory, with the Phārgava lineage, bring forth the increase of progeny; in fullness, with the Āṅgirasa lineage, fulfill my complete desire.
भद्रे काश्यपदायादे कुरु भद्रां मतिं मम । सर्ववीजसमायुक्ते सर्वरत्नौषधैर्वृते ।। २४७.
In auspiciousness, with the Kāśyapa lineage, grant me a favorable mind; endowed with all seeds, surrounded by all gems and medicinal herbs.
रुचिरे नन्दने नन्दे वासिष्ठे रम्यतामिह। प्रजापतिसुते देवि चतुरस्त्रे महीमये ।। २४७.
In the beautiful Nandana, in Nanda, in Vāsiṣṭha, may there be delight here; O goddess, daughter of Prajāpati, in the four-sided, earth-filled place.
सुभगे सुव्रते भद्रे गृहे काश्यपि रम्यतां । पूजिते परमाचार्य्यैर्गन्धमाल्यैरलङ्कृते ।। २४७.
O fortunate, virtuous, auspicious one, may Kāśyapi delight in the house; honored by the supreme teachers, adorned with fragrances and garlands.
भवभूतिकरे देवि गृहे काश्यापि रम्यतां । अव्यह्ग्ये चाक्षते पूर्णे मुनेरङ्गिरसः सुते ।। २४७.
O goddess, bring prosperity in the house, may Kāśyapi delight; in the unobstructed, unbroken, full house of the son of the sage Āṅgirasa.
इष्टके त्वं प्रयच्छेष्टं प्रतिष्ठाङ्गारयाम्यहं । देशस्वामिपुरस्वामिगृहस्वामिपरिग्रहे ।। २४७.
On the brick, I offer the desired object; I establish the foundation; in the domain of the lord of the land, the lord of the city, the lord of the house, and the possessions.
मनुष्यधनहस्त्यश्वपशुवृद्धिकरी भव । गृहव्रवेशेऽपि तथा शिलान्यासं समाचरेत् ।। २४७.
Become the bringer of increase for humans, wealth, elephants, horses, and cattle; likewise, upon entering the house, one should perform the laying of stones.
उत्तरेण शुभः प्लक्षो वचः प्राक् स्याद् गृहादितः । उदुम्वरश्च याम्येन पश्चिमेऽश्वत्थ उत्तमः ।। २४७.
To the north is the auspicious Plakṣa tree; speech is in the east from the house; Udumbara is to the south, and in the west, the excellent Aśvattha tree.
वामभागे तथोद्यानं कुर्य्याद्वासं गृहे शुभं । सायं प्रातस्तु धर्माप्तौ शीतकाले दिनान्तरे ।। २४७.
On the left side, one should make a garden or an auspicious dwelling in the house; in the evening and morning, for the attainment of dharma, in the cold season, at the end of the day.
वर्षारात्रे भुवः शोषे सेक्तव्या रोपितद्रुमाः । विड़ङ्गघृतसंयुक्तान् सेचयेच्छीतवारिणा ।। २४७.
During the rainy nights, when the ground is dry, one should water the planted trees; mixed with virāṅga and ghee, water them with cold water.
फलनाशे कुलत्थैश्च माषैर्मुद्गैस्तिलैर्यवैः । घृतशीतपयःसेकः फलपुष्पाय सर्वदा ।। २४७.
When fruit is lacking, with kulattha, māṣa, mudga, sesame, and barley; always pour ghee and cold milk for fruit and flowers.
मत्स्याम्भसा तु सेकेन वृद्धिर्भवति शाखिनः । आविकाजशकृच्चूर्णं यवचूर्णं तिलानि च ।। २४७.
By watering with fish water, the growth of trees occurs; sheep dung powder, barley powder, and sesame seeds as well.
गोमांसमुदकञ्चेति सप्तरात्रं निधापयेत् । उत्सेकं सर्ववृक्षाणां फलपुष्पादिवृद्धिदं ।। २४७.
One should keep cow meat and water for seven nights; the sprinkling of all trees brings growth of fruit and flowers.
मत्स्योदकेन शीतेन आम्राणां सेक इष्यते । प्रशस्तं चाप्यशोकानां कामिनीपादताडनं ।। २४७.
With cold fish water, watering mango trees is recommended; also, for Aśoka trees, striking the roots of the Kāminī plant is praised.
खर्जूरनारिकेलादेर्लवणाद्भिर्विवर्द्धनं । विडङ्गमत्स्यमांसाद्भिः सर्वेषां दोहदं शुभं ।। २४७.
The use of dates, coconuts, and similar items, together with salt, increases nourishment; all cravings are auspiciously satisfied by vidanga, fish, and meat.
अग्निरुवाच पुष्पैस्तु पूजनाद्विष्णुः सर्वकार्य्येषु सिद्धिदः । मालती मल्लिका यूथी पाटला करवीरकं ।। २४८.
Agni said: By worship with flowers, Viṣṇu grants success in all undertakings; mālatī, mallikā, yūthī, pāṭalā, and karavīra flowers are used.
पावन्तिरतिमुक्तश्च१ कर्णिकारः कुरण्टकः । कुब्जकस्तगरो नीपो वाणो वर्वपमल्लिका ।। २४८.
Pāvanī, atimukta, karṇikāra, kuraṇṭaka, kubjaka, tagara, nīpa, vāṇa, and varvapa-mallikā are also suitable.
अशोकस्तिलकः कुन्दः पूजायै स्यात्तमालजं । विल्वपत्रं शमीपत्रं पत्रं भृङ्गरजस्य तु ।। २४८.
Aśoka, tilaka, and kunda flowers, as well as tamāla leaves, bilva leaves, śamī leaves, and bhṛṅgarāja leaves are appropriate for worship.
तुलसीकालतुलसीपत्रं वासकमर्च्चने । केतकीपत्रपुष्पं च पद्मं रक्तोत्पलादिकं ।। २४८.
Tulasi, kāla-tulasi leaves, vāsaka for worship, ketakī leaves and flowers, lotus, red lotus, and similar flowers are also used.
नार्क्कन्नोन्मत्तकङ्गाञ्ची पूजने गिरिमल्लिका । कौटजं शाल्मलीपुष्पं कण्टकारीभवन्नहि ।। २४८.
Nārkka, unmattaka, kaṅgāñcī, and girimallikā are used in worship; kauṭaja and śālmalī flowers are not suitable, nor are those with thorns.
