Subhadra, of lovely appearance, chose Jishnu above all; the fortunate one was a match for Partha in beauty and youth.
And Partha was likewise a match for Subhadra in form and qualities; thus, the delighted gods led by Indra spoke at that time.
So, after settling the gods with the Gandharvas and hosts of Apsaras, all the Yadavas departed as they had come, taking leave.
The Yadavas, bidding farewell to Partha, went to Antardvipa; then Vasudeva, the delight of the Yadus, spoke to Partha.
O bull among Bharatas, remain here for twenty-two days; ascend my chariot, yoked with Shaibya and Sugriva.
With Subhadra, O Partha, happily enter Khāṇḍavaprastha; later, I will come with the Yadavas, O Bharata. Dwell in Rukmini's house, observing the vow of a recluse.
Having spoken thus, Janardana departed for Antardvipa; then Partha, having completed the marriage, had fulfilled his purpose.
In her, affection arose for the noble Partha; in him, affection for Subhadra grew, and their mutual love increased.
Thus the heroic descendant of Bharata united with the auspicious woman, Rama, who was accompanied by Sita.
Even the victorious one was surpassed by her modesty, beauty, and humility; she was equal in form to the divine and noble women, steadfast in virtue.
By her very nature, brilliance, and radiance, he shone even more, like the autumn sun with a thousand blazing rays.
That illustrious maiden, devoted to him, became absorbed in him, entering the city of maidens.
Then Dhananjaya resolved to depart from Andhaka's city, and said this to Subhadra.
Give to the foremost virtuous Brahmins what is due, with food, delicacies, and gifts, as you return to your own city.

With white, excellent horses endowed with energy, strength, and speed—Shaivya, Sugriva, Meghapushpa, and Balahaka.
Bring here quickly the splendidly adorned best chariot, yoked for the purpose of the vow, as spoken, together with your companions, O fortunate one.
Take up swiftly and come, together with all weapons; also bring the banners, quivers, and bows.

Place all the best chariots, along with the mighty clubs, on the vehicles.
Thus addressed by Arjuna, Subhadra, who spoke auspiciously, went at that time to the king's residence, accompanied by her companions.
For the purpose of the vow, she spoke to the guards present there: 'I will go to complete the great vow with this chariot.'
With the chariot yoked by Shaivya and Sugriva, and equipped with weapons of the wielder of Sharnga, I will proceed, seeking the completion of the vow.
When Subhadra spoke thus, the people stood with joined palms, and after preparing the splendid chariot, addressed her with blessings.
Having placed everything as instructed, including the weapons, the radiant Subhadra swiftly took them and spoke to Arjuna.
This chariot, best among charioteers, has been brought at your command; so go as you wish, O joy of the Kurus.
Having presented the chariot to her husband, Subhadra, esteemed by the auspicious, joyfully gave various riches to the Brahmins.
She gave food filled with affection and whatever was desired, as well as various kinds of garments, according to wish and faith.
Satisfied with various foods and having received those riches, the Brahmanas returned to their homes, bestowing supreme blessings.
But Subhadra had already been informed by Dhananjaya: 'On earth, there is none equal to me in holding the reins.'
Therefore, she first ascended and took the reins, the sister of Vasudeva, having performed auspicious rites for the horses.
