स बिभेद शतघ्नीं च नवभिः कङ्कपत्रिभिः । मद्रराजप्रयुक्तं च शरं छित्त्वा महारथः
He shattered the mace with nine vulture-feathered arrows, and the great chariot-warrior cut down the arrow launched by the king of Madra.
शक्तिं चिच्छेद सहसा भगदत्तेरितां रणे। तथेतराञ्शरान्घोराञ्शरैः सन्नतपर्वभिः

छत्रैश्च बहुधा च्छिन्नैर्ध्वजैश्च विनिपातितैः । अङ्कुशैरपविद्धैश्च परिस्तोमैश्च भारत
It was covered with many broken umbrellas, fallen banners, discarded goads, and heaps of ornaments, O Bharata.
केयूरैरङ्गदैर्हारै राङ्कवैर्मृदितैस्तथा । उष्णीषैर्ऋष्टिभिश्चैव चामरव्यजनैरपि
With armlets, bracelets, necklaces, torn garments, turbans, spears, and yak-tail fans crushed and scattered as well.
