He is modest, noble, strong, and resolute, adorned with fortune, the foremost among the Somakas; no other enemy could withstand him—let the lion of the Vrishnis be their leader.
And say this: 'Do not choose anyone else as your peer in battle or as your charioteer in the world; we select Satyaki, the grandson of Sini, mighty, fearless, and accomplished in weapons.'
Broad-chested, long-armed, a destroyer, second to none in battle, supreme knower of weapons, the grandson of Sini, as tall as a palm tree, is a great chariot-warrior, fearless and skilled in arms.
When, as I have said, the lord of the Shinis, showering arrows like a raincloud, covers the foremost warriors among the enemy, then the son of Dhritarashtra will suffer in that battle.
When that long-armed, steadfast, mighty soul, firm with his bow, resolves to fight, then, as cows stir at the scent of a lion, so will our enemies tremble before him at the front of battle.
That long-armed, firm-bowed, great-souled one could shatter mountains and destroy all worlds; skilled in weapons, swift-handed, he shines in the sky like the sun.
The Yadava's skill in weapons is remarkable, subtle, and well-practiced; the lion of the Vrishnis possesses great mastery. As the wise declare the highest yoga in arms, so Satyaki is endowed with all those virtues.
When Madhava's chariot, golden and drawn by four white horses, is seen in battle with Satyaki, then that dull-witted, unprepared son of Dhritarashtra will suffer.

When the radiant chariot, shining with gold and jewels, yoked to white horses and bearing the fierce banner of the monkey, is seen with Kesava standing upon it, then that dull, unprepared one will suffer.
When the fierce, thunderous twang of the Gandiva bow, strung with sinew and likened to the crash of thunder, is heard from me as I draw it in the great battle, then that dull-witted one will hear it.
Then, that deluded son of Dhritarashtra, tormented in battle, ill-advised and poorly supported, will see his army, shattered by a rain of arrows and enveloped in darkness, breaking like a herd of cattle at the front of battle.
From the bow, arrows will fly forth, terrifying as thunderbolts, like dreadful flashes of lightning from storm clouds—thousands at a time, bone-piercing, armor-breaking, well-feathered, striking the foes in battle.
When he sees flights of sharp-tipped arrows, released from the Gandiva's string, falling upon horses, elephants, and armored warriors, then the son of Dhritarashtra will suffer in that battle.
When that dullard sees the enemy's arrows, loosed and swiftly cut down by my shafts—split, pierced, and scattered crosswise—then the son of Dhritarashtra will suffer in that battle.
When the heads of the foremost warriors, released by my arm like fruits from the tops of trees, are scattered, then the son of Dhritarashtra will feel the heat of battle.
When he sees valiant fighters, fallen from their chariots, great elephants, and horses, struck down by arrows and lying dead on the field, then the son of Dhritarashtra will feel the heat of battle.
When he sees his men, unable to reach the path of weapons, perishing all around in battle, unable to act, then the son of Dhritarashtra will feel the heat of battle.
Like Time with gaping mouth, I will assail the masses of infantry and chariots on all sides, scattering them with blazing showers of arrows; then the dull-witted enemy will suffer.
When he sees all directions filled with my chariot, the dust scattered, and his own bewildered army cut down by the Gandiva, then the dull-witted one will regret.
When Duryodhana sees his entire army turned to corpses, their limbs severed, unconscious, with slain horses, fallen heroes, broken kings and elephants, thirsty, exhausted, and terrified—
When he sees them crying out in pain, being struck down and killed, their hair, bones, and skulls scattered, as if fulfilling the work of the Creator, then the dull-witted one will suffer.
When the son of Dhritarashtra sees in battle the Gandiva on the chariot, Vasudeva, the divine conch Panchajanya, the inexhaustible quivers, Devadatta, and myself, then he will feel the heat of battle.
When I rout these assembled bands of foes, turning the age as at the end of a yuga, and burn the Kauravas like fire, then Dhritarashtra and his sons will be scorched.
With his brothers, army, and servants, deprived of his kingdom, overcome by anger and lacking sense, trembling, slain at the end of his pride, the dull-witted son of Dhritarashtra will regret.
Once, in the morning, after my prayers, a Brahmin spoke to me by the water's edge, saying, 'A difficult task is set for you, Partha; you must fight these enemies, O Savyasacin.'
May Indra, the wielder of the thunderbolt, go before you in battle, striking down your foes, or may you ride with a chariot yoked to noble steeds; behind you, may Krishna, Vasudeva, protect you.
In this battle, I am the thunderbolt among those who wield the thunderbolt, with Vasudeva as my ally, like mighty Indra. Krishna has been gained by me for the destruction of foes; I believe this is ordained by the gods for me.
He for whom Krishna desires victory, even if he does not fight or even think of battle, will overcome all enemies, including gods with Indra; in the world of men, there is no doubt.
He who would try to cross the boundless ocean with his arms, or who would seek to conquer Krishna, the most valiant and heroic, in battle—
He who wishes to shatter a great white mountain with his bare hand, his fingers would break but he would do nothing to the mountain.
