वीज्यमानः सुपुण्येन नानाकुसुमगन्धिना। पितुः संस्पर्शशीतेन गन्धमादनवायुना
Fanned by the auspicious wind of Gandhamadana, fragrant with many flowers, cooled by the touch of his father's breeze.
ह्रियमाणश्रमः पित्रा संप्रहृष्टतनूरुहः

स यक्षगन्धर्वसुरब्रह्मर्षिगणसेवितम्। विलोकयामास तदा पुष्पहेतोररिंदमः

Awakened by Bhima's great roar, tigers abandoned their caves and the forest-dwellers hid themselves.
समुत्पेतुः खगास्त्रस्ता मृगयूथानि दुद्रुवुः। ऋक्षाश्चोत्ससृजर्वृक्षांस्तत्यजुर्हरयो गुहाम्। व्यजृम्भन्त महासिंहा महिषाश्च वनेचराः
Frightened birds flew up, herds of animals fled, bears shook the trees and monkeys left their caves; great lions yawned and wild buffaloes stirred in the forest.
तेन वित्रासिता नागाः करेणुपरिवारिताः। तद्वनं संपरित्यज्य जग्मुरन्यन्महावनम्
Terrified, elephants surrounded by their females left that forest and went to another great wood.
वराहमृगसङ्घाश्च महिषाश्च वनेचराः। व्याघ्रगोमायुसङ्घाश्च प्रणेदुर्गवयैः सह
Herds of boars and deer, wild buffaloes, packs of tigers and jackals, all fled together with wild oxen.
रथाङ्गसाह्वदात्यूहा हंसकारण्डवप्लवाः। शुकाः पारावताः कौञ्चा विसंज्ञा भेजिरे दिशः

Then, other proud elephants wounded by the tusks of females, and enraged lions and tigers, rushed at Bhimasena.
शकृन्मूत्रं च मुञ्चाना भयविभ्रान्तमानसाः। व्यादितास्या महारौद्र व्यनदन्भीषणान्रवान्
Their minds bewildered by fear, urinating and defecating, their mouths wide open, those fierce and terrible beasts let out dreadful roars.
ततो वायुसुतः क्रोधात्स्वबाहुबलमाश्रितः। गजेनान्यान्गजान्श्रीमान्सिंहं सिंहेन वा विभुः। तलप्रहारैरन्यांश्च व्यहनत्पाण्डवो बली
Then, the son of the Wind, enraged and relying on the strength of his arms, struck down elephants with elephants, lions with lions, and with blows of his palm, the mighty Pandava subdued the rest.
