उत्क्रान्तिस्मृतिवाक्यशेषाच्च
And because of the remainder of scriptural statements about departure and remembrance.
महापातकिनां त्वार्तौ
But for great sinners, in distress—
सैकान्तभावो गीतार्थप्रत्यभिज्ञानात्
The exclusive state is due to the recognition of the meaning of the Gītā.
परां कृत्वैव सर्वेषां तथा ह्याह
Only after making it supreme for all, for thus it is said.
भजनीयेनाद्वितीयमिदं कृत्स्नस्य तत्स्वरूपत्वात्
This alone, being non-dual, is to be worshipped, because it is the true nature of all.
तच्छक्तिर्माया जडसामान्यात्
Its power is māyā, because of its general insentience.
व्यापकत्वाद्व्याप्यानाम्
Because it pervades those that are pervaded.
न प्राणिबुद्धिभ्योऽसम्भवात्
Not from living beings or intellects, because it is impossible.
निर्मायोच्चावचं श्रुतीश्च निर्मिमीते पितृवत्
He creates the higher and lower scriptures, free from māyā, like a father.
मिश्रोपदेशान्नेति चेन्न स्वल्पत्वात्
If it is said that the teachings are mixed, it is not so, because they are few.
फ़लमस्माद्बादरायणो दृष्टत्वात्
Bādarāyaṇa says the result comes from this, because it is seen.
व्युत्क्रमादप्ययस्तथा दृष्टम्
Even in the case of separation, dissolution likewise is observed.
तदैक्यं नानात्वैकत्वमुपाधियोगहानादादित्यवत्
That unity is not a unity of diversity, because the association with limiting adjuncts ceases, like the sun.
पृथगिति चेन्न परेणासम्बन्धात् प्रकाशानाम्
If it is said to be separate, it is not so, because there is no connection with the other, as with lights.
न विकारिणस्तु करणविकारात्
But it is not subject to modification, because modifications belong to the instruments.
अनन्यभक्त्या तद्बुद्धिर्बुद्धिलयादत्यन्तम्
Through exclusive devotion, the mind becomes fixed on That, and by the dissolution of the mind, completely so.
आयुश्चिरमितरेषां तु हानिरनास्पदत्वात्
For others, life is long, but there is loss, because there is no firm foundation.
संसृतिरेषामभक्ति: स्यान्नाज्ञानात् कारणासिद्धे:
For these, transmigration would be due to lack of devotion, not from ignorance, because the cause is not established.
त्रीण्येषां नेत्राणि शब्दलिङ्गाक्षभेदाद्रुद्रवत्
For these, there are three eyes, due to the difference of word, sign, and sense, like Rudra.
आविस्तिरोभावा विकारा: स्यु: क्रियाफ़लसंयोगात्
Manifestation and concealment are modifications, arising from the conjunction of action and its result.
