Brahman is its head, Bṛhat its back, Vāmadeva its belly, Odana its sides; the metres are its wings, truth its mouth, and the sacrificial porridge, born from austerity, is spread forth upon it.
Boneless, purified, cleansed by wind, pure, they go to the pure world; for them, the fire does not burn the organ, and in the heavenly world, there is much of the feminine for them.
Those who cook the spreading porridge of Odana, for them, the returning does not ever join; he sits with Yama, goes to the gods, rejoices with the Gandharvas and the Soma-drinkers.
Those who cook the spreading porridge of Odana, for them, Yama does not take away the seed; becoming a charioteer, he goes by chariot, becoming a bird, he reaches the sky.
This, the most excellent of sacrifices, is spread out; having cooked the spreading Odana, he has entered heaven. He extends the lotus, the water-lily, the stalk, the bulb, and the root; may all these streams come to you, swelling with honey in the heavenly world, may the lotus-ponds stand around you on every side.

This Odana I place among the Brahmins, the spreading one, conqueror of worlds, leading to heaven; may it not diminish for me, swelling with its own essence; may the wish-fulfilling cow of all forms be mine.
